i cant find a free file converter to change my mp3s from 128 -> 96. easy cd-da is a good program but id like a free one if possible. need it for my flash mp3 player. thanks.

First off, when you convert a lossy compressed music file into another lossy compressed file of the same or different type, the sound quality suffers disproportionately.

For decent quality 96kbps songs you will want to source them from a lossless source like a CD or a very high bitrate lossy encode. If that is not possible you can still do what you want to, it's just not recommended at all.

Try dbpowerAMP music converter

96kb mp3?... my poor ears!
agreed. I am totally in agreeance. 100%. I did the same thing when I had my 64mb Rio. I quickly put the higher quality files back on it.
