my slk-7 fan died a while ago, and ive been usin a ghetto alternative (i crazy glued a old 80mm fan on top of the heatsink). idle temps are at 49.5c (and its kinda cold in my room). im looking for a replacement that cools well but is relatively silent (i guess i got sensitive ears, cuz it seems like a vacuum cleaner is cummin from my case). from reading around, it seems a 120mm fan would be the best bet, so do anyone have any recommendations? also what could i do to reduce the noise in my pc? i have 6 case fans, 2 of which are vantec stealths. i was planning on replacing the other 4 with stealths as well (when i get 2 more fans, ima see if can get away with only 4 case fans w/o rasing temps 2 much. someone told me to replace the nb fan on my nf7 with a passive heatsink, but im not sure what brand to get. lastly i remember reading about some stuff that could reduce the noise in ur case but i forgot what its called (for some reason i think its foam or something, but i dont remember).
