Hi,

I have a Raidmax Storm case (i think thats the name). I am taking out the front 80 mm LED fan and moving it to the side panel. I would like to replace the front fan with a 120 mm fan (don't worry there is enough room). I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a quiet, but very efficient fan (this is the only fan that is an intake fan on the case so I want it to be able to move a lot of air). The other fans in the case are stock from Raidmax that came with the case so any 120 mm fan that are quieter then them should be fine. Also does anyone know where I can get some filter paper for the front intake grill and what type of filter paper do I need?

Sorry if these are nooby questions, I have never replaced/upgraded any fans and there are so many choices!

Go with the Enermax UC-12FAB. It's adjustable and pushes out a lot of air at a low noise. I love it. It does better than my Panaflo L1A 120mm.
 
Add on question:

I might move the existing front fan to the top of the case (there is a mounting in the plastic ceiling of the case for a fan). If i do this, do I want the fan blowing air into the case or out of the case? All the other fans in the case (except the front fan) blow air out of the case. Note: the top fan would be about three inches from the PSU's intake fan. Does anyone know if this top fan should suck air into the case or out of the case?
 
i have a 120mm smartcool fan by antec and it does really well while being super quiet. it's cool cause it's near silent when web browsing and stuff, but then after you're in a game and not caring about the world around you it speeds up to push more air.

yes, you definetly want the blow hole on the top to exhuast air cause generally, heat will rise in near still air.
 
thanks for the advice. there are actually two fans on my PSU. One is inside the case and sucks air into the PSU and then there is an exhaust fan on the back of the PSU that lets the air out the back of my case.
 
that sounds right. it sounds like you've got quite a couple fans exhuasting air out of ur case. 2 + psu fans? i would get that enermax farkle suggested cause the antec fans i have don't push that much air in. i had the 80mm version of the fan he's describing and it's worked great, somewhat quiet but can get loud and moving if i need it to.
