Only the Japanese-manufactured Panaflos are worth a damn, and they are a little harder to locate. However, even the Panaflo L1A in 120mm is rated 30dba. A little too high to really be considered "quiet."

Here's another vote for Nexus/Yate Loon fans. They're quieter than a Panaflo (at least to my ears, and the L1 I compared it to wasn't Japanese) but you might lose a few CFM's.

What kind of bearings are on those fans? This link doesn't mention it. If they're sleeve bearings I would stay well away from them. Otherwise you'll be replacing them often enough.

The yate loon link is one of the best fans that you can get. Yate loon makes the nexus 120mm fans for them. Yate looks are simply the best low noise fans make, make the stealth and the silenX not worth it. There is current a thread about them for 4$ american over at silentpcreview. The site is http://tekgems.com/ and they are the blue led yate loons. These are the model above the low speed yate loons that are used by nexus. I have ordered 15 of these fans...simply amazing better than panaflo any day or any other fan for that matter and at these prices simply impossible to beat 4$ per fan

I dug around on the Yate Loon site, and couldn't find hard data on which bearings they use, but I'm 99% sure they aren't sleeved bearing. This fan is very highly reccomended at SPCR.com, I'd imagine if they wore out faster than other fans, someone would have posted something by now. Mine have only been going for about a month now, and show no signs of any degredation.

However, the fans do have closed corners, which means you need to do a little modding or creative fastening. SPCR has a 'how to' HERE for cutting out the closed corners.

Antec TriCool fans set to the lowest of the 3 speed settings they have are very quiet.

3 120mm fans would go on the 120.3 rad and i am gonna need like 4 more in various places in the case.

The low speed Yate Loons are pretty hard to find, but, from what I hear, they're totally worth it. Everytime the come in stock, the people at spcr make a run for them (especially those awesome orange ones).

My next choice would be the Panaflo, but most of them dont have rpm monitoring.

check my link posted above for the blue meduim yate loons they found for 4$ per fan...15 on the way for me...i missed out on the orange slow speed ones, they snatched they up to quickly for me.. but the blue ones are still available as far as i know
