I am building a new system and last part i need to get is 2 120mm Case Fans. Any reccomendations?
 
Maybe just my luck but I have NEVER had a bad esperience with a YS fan.

I'd also trust anything you find from sunon and the scythes i have had are nice fans too (but not as tested).

It depends what your looking for in a fan, if you throw these things into a priority order we can help ya make a better selection (and if you are not sure where to start, this is my personal priority list, but different builds take different thinking).

1200 rpm slips are very nice, used em in my backup rig, i might order 5 for my main rig once i get the bills payed this weekend.
 
I got my S-FLEX fans from Directron. They have good prices and they don't charge a flat rate for shipping per fan. The SFF21E is probably still 11.99 ea. Newegg sucks for small items.

I'd stay away from Sunon's unless you like the sound of a jet engine. Plus they are ball-bearing and start to make noise after a while. They do throw a lot of air though.
 
yeah steve that's pretty gay, i was just looking too... you used to be able to get em. I'll ask their representatives wtf is up with that. You forget things like that when the same shitty fan in your 10 year old system is your same fan in your new system. Why would you need to find a new one when they don't break?
 
I used to buy into the Yate Loon fad, but honestly they're cheap because gazillions of them are made in some Chinese factory probably and some of them are going to come out bad. I'm willing to trade my leg for some S-FLEX fans because the dozen or so I've used over the years have been perfect.

Good fans but don't put them on a radiator (if you WC) since they really suffer. For a normal intake/exhaust fan, they are pretty good/quiet.

Yate Loons... lots of them out there. Petrastechshop.com gets them direct and not through a distributor. The PTS Yates are tested to be better than Yates from most other sellers. Not that all the other sells have bad Yates but their quality varies greatly. If you get them from PTS, you will get the good Yates.
 
I like noctua fans. They are very expensive, but to my ears have the best sound of all the fans. They are very quiet. I like the p12 fans best. I've used 6 of them, and found them all to sound the same and still push some good air.


However Not everyone is willing to spend that much on a fan, so I'd also recommend the S-Flex fans. I've used them many times also. They are pretty quiet also. The E model is my pick from them.
