120hz lcd ghosting

Do 120Hz LCD monitors have less ghosting than normal LCDs?

I've seen some ghosting test and 120hz lcd shows almost no ghosting compared to normal lcds.
 
I went from a Dell 2209WA at 75Hz to a Planar SA2311W. It feels a lot better with overdrive on, but is still worse than a CRT. Without overdrive, it honestly isn't much better than the Dell. Overdrive does cause artifacts (white trails) that can be distracting in certain situations.
 
As far as blur due to pixel response times goes - from most feedback this pic is pretty accurate.. I only have the 60hz and crt on the ends so I can't speak from experience on the middle, only what feedback people have given.

Of course the blurring is in relation to the speed that you are moving the FoV and/or how fast action movement is on screen. That pic is a representation of what you could expect after a certain speed threshold, which for me is pretty much every time I perform a fast FoV movement.

I have a question about 120hz monitors , being whether they blur more toward the 60hz-like amount of blur when they hit 120fps+ (which causes the pixel to attempt to update every 8.3ms or 1hz out of 120hz), and if they blur less like the middle example when they are closer to 60fps or less (changing the pixels ever 2hz/120hz ~ 16.6ms or longer of same frame). I haven't found any information on this anywhere. Perhaps it doesn't matter but I'd like to know definitively.

The blur bothers me on my 60hz ips much more on modern demanding games that have very high detailed textures including depth via bumpmapping - because when it blurs that fine detail and virtual depth is washed out. Its almost like fine text on rough 3d terrain... all the "text" gets washed out and the depth of the terrain's surfaces is lost. From the 120hz example in the pic, most of that detail is still lost, as evidenced by the fine text and cell shading being smudged out so bad. Better than 60hz though. What is more annoying than the blur is that my eyes are always trying to focus away the blur, so they feel wrenched when spinning fov, then lock back in. Again more strenuous to my eyes on the most modern or otherwise most demandingly detail textured and bumpmap textured games.

That image sums up my experience, having alternated between 60hz/120hz/crt for the past year. The 120hz displays add more fps so in slow movement provide a much smoother experience, but they still suck when you move at a reasonable speed.

A 120hz display has virtually the same pixel response time as a 60hz display. The only difference is overdrive which marginally improves it. Response time still averages well above 8ms over the entire color transition range. IMO it needs to be well below 2ms to remove bluring (crt is <0.1ms).

During a fast turn in an fps game for example, the pixels on a 120hz display are going to be in constant flux. It feels similar to spinning your head around at speed. The image needs to stop changing for a while for the brain to process it. Doesn't the brain require a certain exposure time? This would explain why 60hz displays feel less blurry to me when moving at speed, despite the choppiness.
 
Man, I'm torn on what to do.

Keep my 19.8" viewable CRT that I have running at 1920x1200 @ 120hz or go with a newer 23"-27" 120hz LCD.

What should I do, wait for IPS 120hz?
