Where is it stated that it's intended to use 11.12 CAPs with the 12.1a preview driver?

I've had a few bad experiences in the past installing CAPs that are "older" than the driver i'm installing them on top of. Right now i'm using 12.1 preview with no caps at all, and crossfire is definitely working so that tells me that there are CAPs bundled with the driver.

heck, you could use the 11.11 cap3+ on them.

Also there is a difference between something just working and being optimal, the latest CAPs are always optimal, and in this case, they arent "older" they are actually on time, version number not withstanding.
 
Been running the 12.1's since they came out without any issues to speak of. Then again, I've only been playing TOR and have not yet given BF3 a go with them. Wonder if there are any other changes besides RAGE improvements.

It wasn't that I didn't believe you, I just wanted to make sure it was fact and not someone's assumption. I appreciate the link you provided.

I put "older" in quotes because I was referring to the version number, even though they were released today.
