I have a burly e350 heatercore for a radiator, and a beefy copper block so my CPU temps stay low. In WoW with g-talk and AIm and ventrillo and all the other BS, CPU rarely climbs over 120, and usually hangs around 116. My case temps however are pretty crappy. It's not hot in my apartment, especially down by the floor. I love my quiet system, but the single 120mm on 7 volts just isn't cutting it anymore for case ventilation. I'm used to case temps of roughly 85-87 at the most. 100 seems pretty high. The system is stable, and it doesn't seem to be hurting anything... Should I change anything? What do you guys think? Is 100 high?

PS. that's ~47c & ~37c for the F-challenged
 
30C or less is considered unreal temps, good on ya' mate
30-40C is an average "decent" idle temp
40-50C is an average "decent" load temp
50-60C is the "danger" zone
65C or more is overheating, you have a serious problem

PS - Computers are a science, and in the science world we measure temps in Celcius (C). I can guarantee you that within three posts at least one person will assume you meant 120C without even reading your entire post.

Piecing together pre-made electronics and fretting about it's operating tempreture is a "science"? lol alright.. Why stop at C, when we could go all-pro and jump for Kelvins? :rolleyes: ;)

Oh I've had them that hot :) Had an old celeron that wouldn't die - we heated the sink with lighters and did all sorts of stuff in our drunken debauchery. But no, not in this case. :p
 
That's what i mean, it's worrysome. But I'm wondering if it's hurting anything. The CPU is nice and cool, and my RAM behaves well... The vid isn't on water, but it isn't OC'd either and I'm not having problems...
