1) What will you be doing with this PC?
Gaming (Primarily Bad Company 2, Mass Effect, L4D2, NFS:Shift, Dirt 2)
Web Browsing
Movies/TV
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1100 or so, no
3) Where do you live?
Chicago
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?
See specs
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
None
6) Will you be overclocking?
Probably not
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Plan to have HP LP2475w (currently have a very old ag neovo 19")
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Soon
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
N/A
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

This is what I've come up with:

Cooler Master RC-690
Thermaltake Toughpower XT 750W -W0229RU
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P
AMD Phenom II X4 955
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2
OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) -OCZ3G1600LV6GK
XFX HD 5850
Western Digital 1TB -WD1001FALS (with plans to add an SSD later)
Asus 24x DVD Burner

$1,109.88 (with a new keyboard and some arctic silver 5)

What are your thoughts?

The build is fine, but I recommend the following changes:

- Get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus instead of the Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2.
- Get the Phenom II X4 955 and the OCZ RAM together in a combo deal.
- You don't need a 750 watt PSU if you're only going to use one video card. Get a cheaper yet equally capable PSU like the Corsair HX650.
- The Samsung F3 1TB HDD is slightly faster and a bit cheaper than the WD Caviar Black 1TB HDD. If the F3 is back in stock by the time you place your order, I recommend getting that instead of the Caviar Black.

Thanks tiraides.

-That HSF does look better, definitely prefer the 120mm fan. I'll make that change.
-I want 6GB of RAM and that combo is for 4GB.
-I'd like the option to scale up to crossfire in the future and the PSU I selected is actually cheaper ($89.99 A/R)
-Good suggestion, I'll make that change.

Why do you want 6gb of ram? AM3 isn't triple channel, you will only have 4gb in dual channel and 2gb in single channel.
