ok, i havent been keeping up with the pc world for a couple months and i need a new pc for gaming i want higher end graphics on it im leading on a 6800 or 6800gt and a amd64 motherboard cpu combo, harddrive just something like 80gb 7200rpm ata133 nothing great there one of those new aspire cases that look kick ass and are $159 on newegg and thats about it but im having trouble researching on the amd intel best bang for buck which overclocks better which motherboards are best for my price range ect, i need everything but a mouse and monitor so dont leave out any needed cooling expensis,case,speaker,psu and thanks in advance for the help....btw im not a n00b i just found another hobby to take a break from my straight 2years of research on pc's

get some good RAM (512x2 in duel channel) with TCCD chips

......u dont need a $150 case, just get one with 120mm fans.

what ram runs on TCCD chips, last good shit i remember was BH-5 which is long gone now or very expensive on ebay

and u could drop the cpu down to a 3000, u wont lose much performance at all

...and newegg is great but doesnt allways have the lowest prices...search around a bit and save some pennies

can go up to DDR550 (PC4400) at 2.5 4 4 8, i may be new at this but this seems like the oc ram to get although at PC3200 it is slower at 2 3 3 6, i doubt the OCZ has potential of 600+ speeds...and its cheaper at $250....but im not to sure about the seller

it doesnt matter if they have the lowest prices there 99.9% dependable never screw up ship in 3days have good prices and no one ever has problems with them
and what mobo should i go with since going down to any core 3000+ uses a differnt socket

I would go with a BFG 6800GT they are slightly overclocked right out of the box and have a lifetime warranty, that ram you have it very good, I am not sure about that case, I had one like it and if you are going with a 6800 they are so long the card almost touches the hard drives, and there is no way you can remove them without first taking out the video card Also if you wanted to spend a little more I have a brand new OEM 3500+ I am selling for 270 shipped

The first thing I see wrong with your list is the XP-120. As far as I know the XP-120 does not fit on MSI's board. Get the XP-90.

I ahve also had bad experience with Maxtors. I would pick a Seagate.

You may also want to save about $50 and get a 3000+ Both overclock to relaively the same speed.

the case i picked has good reviews and so do the alienx cases that i purchased for my last amd comp which is running a amd 2600+mobile with a sp-97 and vantec tornado at 3900+ speeds(case has 6fans and my room is constantly 54f),i want to get the higher end aspire case because it has more fans but its $60 more,and when did they discontinue the SP series the new amd xp heatsink looks scrawny and review shows it preforms mediocore i know the XP-120 owned all a couple months ago though, and doesnt the XP-120 cool better then the XP-90
yeah it doesnt fit...damn well i know theres someheatsink out there better then the XP-90
