I've got a 1090t that i've been trying to fold on for the past couple of days but its making less PPD on smp then my 2.2ghz c2d laptop.

I had it overclocked to 3.7ghz but it wasn't stable enough for f@h, right now i've got it dialed back to stock but its just crawling.

I've got windows 7 x64
a 1090t at stock speeds running around 50C when folding
8gb ram at stock speeds/timings
i'm running the 7.1.52 x86 client (are their x64 clients? i couldn't find them)

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is it using all cores? Which project are your calculating the PPD on?

i set it manually for all 6 cores instead of leaving it at -1

its running an 8042 on the a4 core

it says its base is 236 credits and my eta on finishing it is 12 and a half hours from now (25% in) (estimated credit is 494 and estimated ppd is 695)

for my laptop it says its running an 8004 and its got 3 left (35% in) base credit is 88 and estimated is 318, estimated ppd is 1677

EDIT: also damn that was a quick reply!

Have you just started folding or do you have a passskey setup and how many WUs have you already returned with that passkey?

yeah, as of yesterday or the day before, maybe i'm just being too impatient, i know i'm not getting my bonus's yet, im just worried somethings up because of the huge time difference in the smp work units and the fact that it estimates my laptop higher then my pc....

Different WUs have different requirements. I think you need like 10 completed WUs before you start getting your bonuses. Are you sure it's running SMP because I think that WU (The 8042) is a Uniprocessor project. (I get 8041s on one of my boxen that's running the Uniprocessor slot)

What does your log file say? Can you post the contents? SMP does require 64 Bit too by the way...

Check out the Windows: V6 Beta SMP2/CPU clients, I'm running 6.34 on my i7 870 and it's running ~10k - 16k PPD w/ GPU client running.

Did you disable AMD cool n quiet, c1e states, and thermal throttling? I have a 960t @ 3.7 with 6 cores that does 15k ppd on windows. It also heats my basement.

thanks for the help, i fell asleep last night before i could fix anything and now i'm off to work but i'll double check everything tonight

make sure you have the 10 units done, and if the issue is still there let us know
