Hello folks, I have a quick question. Do I need a GPU with 1080p support or can any decent card run that resolution/full HD?

Any current video card (and anything within the past ~10 years) will support that resolution. Now if you are wanting to play games at that resolution, you will need a pretty decent video card (but that is a topic for the video card subforum). If you want a video card that will do hardware video decoding, most current ones will do that as well. If you are just going to be running 2D applications, then pretty much anything will do. It really all depends on what your purpose is.

Minimum GPU for playing @ 1920x1080 is Radeon HD 4670 or GeForce 9600GT.

Good enough for most current games with medium graphics quality and "acceptable" frame rates.

Google for some benchmarks to determine what card(s) actually fits your gaming requirements.
