That, is the coolest, thing, I, have, ever, seen. I've been waiting for these to go on sale for quite awhile now :)

How deep is the assembled unit?

If it's less than an inch (from the front of the perspex/acrylic to the back of the pcb) I want like, 6 (well, maybe 1 for now).

Oh, spiffy. I didn't realize you had started selling these (the units with enclosures.) I'm trying to justify purchasing one now :p.

I HATE Paypal. I need to "verify" my account with a bank account. Trouble is, I don't have an account compatible with their needs *It's a canadian account*. Assholes.

I really want one of these, is there ANY way I can get one somehow? Cash in the mail, Paypal alternitives, etc?

They have been out for a year and are now priced to clear the remaining stock. Grab them while they still are available, it won't be a second batch.

Hmm, it does seem that I am quite behind the times then =x. I want one but I spent a wee bit too much last month, and maybe again this month (fireworks ftw!) Hopefully they will still be available when I can comfortably budget one in.

Damn thats bitchin, too bad i have a door panel so i can't justify buying one, as badly as i want to.

Mash owns the one and only blue led version but he won't sell it, I tried. He said the LED's to replace them are $1/each.......so another $112 for blue :D

I got Mine! Buffed and polished the Plexiglass up to a perfect sheen.

Hey Qtip, how high do you need to crank the audio source for the bars to extend 2-3 LEDS from the outer rim? From my ipod I need it on full volume, I wonder if it has anything to do with the output impedence of the device...

I ask this because I don't want my speakers on their lowest setting, being driven with full input. If I must, well then it's not a problem, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I have a question....

I mean, you have to plug the cord into the audio out of the sound card, and then what, do youplug your headphones into the MDVA?

also, from a wiring standpoint how does this work? Am I going to have a wire running to the outside of the rig back inside and across to the MDVA?

I love the idea and the simplicity but I am just trying to factor in other things before I pull the trigger.

Well there's an audio Y cable included.

You go...

Soundcard ------- 3Pin (MDVA)
...................|__________Headphones/Speakers/Etc. (ignore the .'s on this line)

The Y cable is at the back of the computer, and is long enough to go from the sound card, in a PCI slot, around to a front bay etc.

You could put it in the door panel... :D

Hmm, it's awesome, but to be honest, the red matches my red cathodes :D (and contrasts nicely with my blue cathodes if I decide to turn them on instead). I still think red or blue with 2 white ones on each end (like the "red level" you see on professional vu meters) would be by far the best :D.

Nice one mashie, me likes. Very reasonable price too. If I come with something it would work well in I will surely look into getting one.

I just got a Bitchen idea for onr of these, but in order to do it i would need a good guide to drill holes in some plexi to match the light locations. is there anywhere i can get something to help with that?

Just........drill..........the...........holes?

What kind of guide do you want for drilling a hole?

and Mashie, dammit......send me the blue one! My time is so limited on the digg case :D

that's amazing.. i want 2.... one to put in my computer... and one to attempt to make blue, only to find later that i have installed every SMD backwards....

If you are going for water/laser cutting I can provide you with autocad drawings.

This is a watercut frontpanel on a Silverstone case:

Each hole is filled with a 2mm acrylic rod.[/QUOTE]
Awsome work, think you could do that for me in a Piece of Plexi Mirror, I dont have the tools, Knowledge or contacts to do something like that. I could do the rest of my project, but theres no way I could do the holes and get any kind of presentable aperance. Would also work better of insted of holes the reflective part plus just a little more was removed, just a dimple in the back.

in some near future i might be changing out my wavemaster and decide to mod this thing into the case itself. can u send me those CAD drawing u spoke of?
EDIT: bought the assembled unit. for 30 bucks ill figure out what to do with it. haha. how long does shipping take to US?

i dun gon ordert won!!!1

I also realized that attempting to mod one to be blue would be pointless and just yield me with 112 broken smds :(

EDIT: can i get one of those cad drawings? i'm mounting this in the top of my CM Stacker, and i don't wanna f' up any of the holes :D

thanks!

SarverSystems can install the blue LEDs for ya :p I mite cost ya a bit thou, but he can do ANYTHING
