100hz LCDs

Great stuff, 100Hz is a step in the right direction but given the dropping of frames I doesnt look ready to market!
It quite disturbing that monitors can ignore picture changes if they are too complex to handle in the time frame!
The article demonstrates that manufacturers claims for response times are also not accurate.

Processing power to handle the target framerates is readily available.
Price is an issue but I dont understand why we dont get a choice to pay the extra and get the response we thought we were paying for anyway.
Its pitiful that LCD manufacturers are skimping and hoping we dont notice.
