1. Shuttle has onboard VGA and HDMI, upgrade later if gaming is desired. The onboard will not be enough for today's games, it should be OK on COD4 at lowest settings.

2. Don't cheap out on other brands of RAM, I selected the one's with the lowest latency = better performance for your video editing needs. Future proof on RAM for $59.25 more. 2GB is getting OLD!

The 2007WFP is the same size but more expensive, why? It uses different technology (PVA) and produces better color and sharper images than all other cheap brands. This is better than the E207WFP which usese a different panel technology. If you got the money, go for this monitor. I've had my 2005WFP since Half Life 2 came out, no problems, ever!

ok... intel is really the way to go at the moment, but if you do prefer the amd stuff i guess that's a good shuttle system and cpu to go with...

uhh that's a weird ram setup for me... 6gb? i've got 2x2gb of crucial value ddr2 667 D9FTB. found them for $20 each stick after mir. they are going for about $60 for 2 right now, but if you can wait for a good deal then you could get some... if you like lower latencies, i use these at 4-3-3-5 on my ga-g33m-ds2r (the mobo won't let me get cas down into the 3, and 4-2-2-5 just reverts back to 4-3-3-5) D9ftb's supposedly scale well with voltage and can get to 900+ /w tight timings.
i don't know what chips the patriots use, but if you're only doing light oc'n they should be fine.

7200.10... for $9 more you can get a 7200.11 supposed to be faster, quieter...

I did a sg31g2 with an e8400 and a 9600gt, 320g hd, 4gb ram for less than $1k. Pretty sweet system if you ask me. Even threw in blu-ray and still made under budget.

edit did not know (poor reading comp) you wanted a monitor and input devices..still i am happy with what i got so you may consider...

lol. i'm not reading things right. ;p 2gb's should be plenty for a while. a lot cheaper too. ballistix 6400 4-4-4-12 for $34 after mir.
