I've had my monitor (BenQ FP737s) for about 7 months.

The other day over 100 "dead" pixels appeared.

These aren't normal dead pixels because they are visible even when the monitor is off and aren't completely opaque.

My monitor has never moved from my desk since I bought it. BenQ support refuses to exchange the monitor because

Even if the monitor didn't fall, this kind of defect isn't covered by the guarantee, because this kind of defect can only happen through foreign influence. It isn't possible that a defunct/broken power supply caused this.

What to do??

Nothing happened at all.

I just woke up, turned on my computer and WTF DEAD PIXELS!

The PC was turned of normally the night before...

AARRRGhh it's a dripping vagnia!!!

yes, do exactly that

i always try being nice at first to get what i want, but if they can't help you after that, get very angry and keep asking for supervisors

Holy crap that is awful. Go ape shit on them and demand a replacement!

Something similar to that happened to my PDA one time, it had a bunch of random colored pixel that still showed up even when it was off. I had to take the battery out and let it sit overnight and in the morning it was good as new. I guess you could try leaving it unplugged for a while,

here's how it works:

first request = nice.

failure to comply, for no appropriate reason = absolutely pissed off!

i think it's unacceptable that they will not take care of it.

who are they to say it was "foreign influence", he obviously doesn't know and is plainly "guessing" because he's never seen anything like it before? the way it works is they give you the benefit of the doubt. even if you did screw it up yourself, not saying you did, they have to go by what you say happened...unless it's crystal clear it was your fault, like dropping it, scratched screen, etc...

i'd be pretty pissed if that happened to me when i did nothing, and the company claims it was due to "foreign influences". what a way to dodge the truth, "poor product".

thanks benq, i will never purchase your products.

dont give up, if they refuse to comply, spread the news.

Did you use a credit card when you first ordered this?

Call them and ask for a chargeback.

Me submit a complaint to the BBB. Also try contact the place you bought the monitor from (if you didn't buy it directly from BenQ). If all else fails, threaten to sue them (say you use your computer for your primary source of income and now you can't make any money because the screen is damaged, or something like that). Always get names of the people you talk to and try not to be rude to the lower level people because they can't do anything.

I would keep calling and bug the hell out of them... You are the consumer, you have the power.....Call, b*tch to them, talk to the manager, just because that is not normal.....Maybe it was your friend or family that messed it up????
