hell yea.. just finished need for speed underground 2... 100% D O N E !

was anyone else able to get to 100%? i read a lot of people got stuck, and had to restart... thankfully, this did not happen to me.. :D

nice... i dont even want to play this game... my friend is like 90 percent and i seen the body kits in that game... horrendous... they developers obviously have no taste whatsoever... sometimes i wonder if they had a 12 year old white boy that just watched the fast and the furious design them...

Did you cheat?

nope 100% legit. dont know that there are cheats??

a fun game, graphics are great and all.. but they really should've ventured into the muscle car scence a little more. Only 8 cylender car available throught the whole game is the new Mustang GT. meanwile my Celica (which i used to beat 98% of the game) blows it out of the water in drags, drifts, circut etc....

Grand tourismo is a much better driving game, and a better game overall

ANyone else get 100%

Uhh, Pontiac GTO???? 5.7L of rubber shredding goodness there... well, in the game they castrated it to something like 240hp instead of 340..... Either way, it screams... well, I'm a 'goat fan.

I beat the game (finished story mode) but not 100%. It really got boring after a while, all I wanted to do was beat the sponsor missions and finish it for the sake of beating the game.

but I have never played a racing game on my PC and am thinking of trying NFSU2. My question is, would I need a steering wheel controller?, a game pad? or can I play with the keyboard/mouse? If you can play with just the keyboard/ mouse, does it suck?

Thanks

i am only like 54% done and it is really hard, i might have to start over. i hate the street-x races, those are the only ones i suck at. i beat the cars in url by like 30 seconds, but i just suck at the street-x

I haven't played with a combo of kb+mouse, but I did play it with a keyboard. I liked it better than playing with my friend's wheel and pedals, but I guess that's because I got used to it.
The steering is much more sensitive and obviously more true to life on the wheel, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it sucked to play on kb.

Underground 2 is way to boring, lost interest after playing it for about 3 days (total hours =2). Underground 1 is much better..

@JoKeR
It depends on the game. NFSU 1 & 2 are more of the arcade simulators than actual driving sims. You need the responsiveness of a keyboard or the flexibility of a joystick to successfully drift/powerslide through those turns.

You can still do it with a wheel of course. You'll actually do better with a wheel if you can do it. For one, every driving sim i've played, (except ColinMcrae and Underground 2) my times were lower and consistent with the wheel. Cleanly hugging the curves each time rather than tap-turning does make a difference. You'll also eventually learn to release the gas and break just right depending on the turn to get the maximum turning speed possible without losing your tiregrip (rather than full gas only or full brake only with a KB) Drifting in Underground 1 with a wheel is also much smoother and more controlled with a wheel but also much much much harder. Drifting is too harsh and the whole game revolves on how hard you push the throttle than actual driving. Haven't tried it on Underground 2 yet.

Bottomline. Driving finess isn't part of NFS:Underground's gameplay, so forget the wheel.

BTW, Drag racing is loads easier when done on pedals :p

They made the game very playable with using a keyboard and mouse...and the songs are great too...

OH...and I haven't finished the game yet...I had to back it up cause I had to wipe out my hdd and I haven't reinstalled it yet...too many other games are distracting me...it's a great game tho...not many good modern racing games for PC...anyone know if they're making another one???

The songs were great for the first couple of hours, and EA certainly has a way with getting big name artists to do tracks for their games. After a few hours, they just got plain repetitive. I had to turn off the music because I was annoyed so much with the repetition.

I didn't like NFSU2 as much as 1. It was just plain weaker, and the bod kits were fugly.

i like some of what they did in the first one, and i like what they did in the second. i wish there were some really really long straights. i liked the menu more in the first, i still wish some classic cars would show up. if nothing else just for drags.

Now that I know I can give NFSU (1 or 2) a try w/o having to go out and buy a wheel or game pad, I think I'll give it a shot.

Yea, I hate Street X too. I'm also like 45% done but I'm not playing it that often. I've been playing KOTOR II much more.

 Let's see YOUR bodykit work!!!
i used to work at the acura dealership over here... i'm not too bad. get to work on the NSX... but that's where the fun ends lol too cramped.

I finished Underground 2 twice, only one of those going to 100%. Getting 100% seems awfully pointless in that game, though. On the other hand, I managed to finish the original Underground 10 times on various skill levels before growing tired of it.

THAT GAME SUCKS!!!!!!! i have maybe played that game an hour total before i decided not to play it.

how do u get to 100? i got to 70/75 i forgot which but after that last race (was aginast 1 person) they had no other races left so i quit.
