10 Things We Hate About Apple

So, let me get you straight. I'm a "Macboy" who needs to get back to his quarantine – an infectious specimen if you will – waging a war of propaganda across the gulfs of the interweb.

As charmingly phrased as your offer of debate was, I must decline. Arguing with bigots is a futile exercise.

You can't even answer his question, lol.

Then argue with me. I won't call you names, but I'm also interested in hearing your answer to that question.

 There was this amazing correlation and it didn't occur to you to investigate the root cause of it further? Just write off a group of people and push back with a bunch of rhetoric of your own? That says to me the true "simple reason" reason is you turned off your brain.

P.S. That 99.88% wouldn't happen to have been one of the the 87% of all numerical facts that are made up on the spot? Because that implies that you were approached unsolicited by over 800 people (assuming only one of them was of the PC variety). As in one per day each and every day for about 2 and a half years. If so I'd really like to know WTF you hang out because I have no recollection of that EVER occuring to me. It isn't like I've had a couple of clean-cut fellows come to my door asking if I'd like some free literature, handing me a copy of Macworld.

QFT? Yeah right.

This revelation came to me through years of experience with both types of OS users. And your choice to take my speculative percentage that quoted no research and posed itself as nothing more than a strained rake of my long-term memory... and attempt to attack it on factuality and statistics only makes you look like a practitioner of buffoonery and undermines your entire argument.

To entertain your notion, I propose a logical reason why I see this pattern in my daily dealings with the university diaspora. When I approach a PC user and proceed to discuss work or entertainment, if I bring up anything having to do with computer, the PC user 99.88% of the time, assumes that I work on a PC and does not bother to inquire further. A Mac user on the other hand has convinced themselves that they have to become advocates of off-mainstream underdog technology because of some media propagated idea that only existed to attract individuals to mainstream media so they could envision a pseudo-struggle and feel satisfied when the pseudo-underdog is victorious, because without pseudo-struggle there is no pseudo-drama and thus no appeal nor entertainment.

It boils down to the equivalent of talking to individuals convinced that they are god's chosen for both all of their faults and successes, applying theology to every-day workings of their personal interpretation of good and evil, being reflective of nothing more than good being what is good for them, and evil of nothing more than what is bad for them... in both cases personal, and caring only for the self while trying to sell everyone else their flavor of salvation through either self or societal denial while declaring everyone else heretics.

Let me boil the entire worldly argument down for you.

Q: Could you use a Mac to accomplish your tasks?
A: Yes.

Q: Is there a logical reason to choose a Mac over a PC?
A: No

Q: So who are the individuals who purposefully pick up Macs and try to justify their purchase by vocalizing themselves against PCs?
A: People who have convinced themselves that pseudo-struggle through self denial somehow aids in invisible spiritual salvation.

Q: So why does Apple try to make itself appealing to the easily impressionable crowd and sell people on perceived good rather than actual good?
A: Have you looked at how profitable Evangelism is?
