Hello,

So my Sony Vaio PCG-SRX87P apparently got dropped... and i need a new screen for it.

It's a 10.4" TFT screen and so if anyone has any ideas, feel free to email me: toxin440@gmail.com

Sony wants 700 dollars to fix it, and everybody else online wants 600 bucks for a screen. So im in a jam here... all help is appreciated

Cheers,

it's physcially cracked... i took it apart and its fizzucked. I can power it on and get something similar to an acid trip when i look at it LoL.

So yeah, its toast basically.

then your only chance is to find one on ebay, pay out the ass to a retailer, or pay out the ass to sony. does the system power on and everything otherwise? you tried an external monitor to make sure everything else works well?

the system powers on perfectly, i can turn it on... log in , and everything is fine excpet the display, it has a video out port/cable, but i dont ahve the right adapter to turn it into true VGA...

then you just need a new screen, so just go to ebay or get sony to replace it for hte extra 100, taht is if you arent comfortable with the insides of a laptop, as i know quite a few people who arnet.

ive already taken it apart... im 100% fine with working on the laptop's innards....

for the extra 100, haha sony wants *$700* to fix it... bah to that
