CCFLs come cheap nowadays... and a small powersupply can be bought at places like bgmicro for a few bucks or if your looking for simplicity, which is what i would do, take a normal wall adapter and splice the wires... i was thinking of doing the same thingGrizzy said:You would still need quite a few of them, 6 or 8 probably, and a power supply and wiring to run them all
It could be done, but a few low intensity halogen lights with colored shades would do the same thing and be much easier

So maybe some crown molding on the walls and the tubes mounted to the tops?
The other thing is what I plan on doing after seeing nuclearsnake's fine work here: http://www.nuclearsnake.com/basement.html is using LEDs. This is just total sex to me... I'm all over it when I get the time. Course I'll be doing 4 colors to match the desk![]()
