ok so i got these 2 older gateway boards...they both have 900mhz intel p3's in them
im gonna be putting them both in one case and was wondering if i could take say a 350w psu and "create a splitter" for the 20 pin atx plug and run them both off of it????
has anyone ever tried this or heard of someone trying? is it safe....etc. etc.

gonna have
2- 900mhz cpu
256mb ram in each
2- 10 gig hdd
gonna be strictly for folding prolly

i was just thinkin...the pwr on might be a problem

i meant gateway...hehe

Yeah, us folders do it alot since a bare mobo and drive don't take much power. You might be able to find a splitter or you can make one, but beware, some older Dells used non-standard ATX pinouts in order to keep you "locked in" to Dell's spare parts sales.

thanks...
i dont mind making my own at all
i love to mod
just out of dremel discs.....
on to wire cutting i go

this is going to be a fun mod...hopefully one day ill be able to post pix of all my puters
