1" Keyhole Drill Bit Through CM Stacker?

Will any old 1" keyhole drill bit do the job when cutting through the top of a CM Stacker? I need to cut one for a DD fillport.
 
Re you referring to a spade bit??? or a forstner? Both are intended for wood.....go with a hole saw.......a 1 inch metal drill bit is a bitch to control in sheet metal.....even with a pilot hole.

Is that just a normal hole saw that is designed for wood or is it a special metal version or what?
 
That is a hole saw...run it slow as you can.......just creep the drill........and try using a parrafin candle as lubricant if it starts to heat up

They also cost a huuuuuge amount more than an ordinary drill, plus concerns about where you're going to put it. Although yes, they're awesome.

If what heats up? The tip of the hole saw? Just rub it around the cutting surface if it heats up?
 
I was assuming he'd be able to borrow someone's, or go somewhere that had one, like a neighbor or something.
