I've got about a $800 buget roughly; Should I get (1) Dell 2407WFP (Hopefully A04 for my 360) or (2) E228WFP's? I've got a 8800 gts and a do a good amount of gaming but I'm also in college for Interactive Media Design as a BFA. And I also have the VGA cable for my 360 too.

I've been running on two displays (both 19", both 1280x1024) for about a year and a half now, and I can't really put into words how frustrated I sometimes get with the line down the middle between the two. My Westinghouse 42" is being delivered this monday so I don't have to worry about that anymore, but I'd recommend you spend some time working with two separate monitors on a single system before making a purchase.

get the 24", you know you want it more ;)

i say, if your gonna spend that kinda money, might as well get the best or in this case larger.

Sounds good, ill deffinitly go with the 24"

Thanks for the help guys; i just wasn't sure what people were doing these days :D

I've started using a 30-inch widescreen monitor at work. I've usually had two 20-inch 4:3 monitors. It takes some getting used to, but one thing for sure: I don't have to deal with the multimon bugs that plague almost every application. The content is just ... there.

What would you say then? Is the E228 that bad? Or is there a decent 22" i can check out?

IMHO,yes it is,I have seen one up close and personal. The E228 is not of exactly high quality or great build standards, not to mention the panel is crappy (IMHO) I used one for a few days, and know someone who bought one and propmtly returned it for a 2007WPF WS 20" He got lucky and got a S-IPS panel. :) I would go with two LG 22's or the newer 22" Sammys,IF,you really want a 22"s.My 2407 is the best I have ever used, bar a Eizo I had the chance to play with at work a long time ago.But thery are very $$$.If you get the 2407 the chance of getting a A04 is very slim right now.By late March it would be near garuanteed.Still the A03 is great as well.As for the Gateway make sure you buy from a store that has liberal return policies, and
make sure its a December 06 build, not a November.Check the great thread on here for perspective and current FPD2485 owners.Good luck ! :)
