Hi I'm trying to OC my 3700+ to 250*11 but I can't get it Prime95 stable. So right now I have it at 1.62v since 1.58v is not enough. Is this too much? Right now my CPU idles at 28-30c and underload it's at 42-46c

shouldnt i meant. ugg. im getting (cf)eclipse-ish with my lack of quality post controll. :p But yea, with 1.62v and those temps, your 100% good to go.

hey! :p

just cause it matters, 3700+ claw or 3700+ san diego? 1.62v is pushing it for one, but just fine for the other

Couldn't you just say which one it is pushing rather than asking which one he has and then saying

Whats the max voltage you can safely run a Venice at with good air cooling?

I'm sorry, but is that the on die temperature sensor, or the sensor you have taped on to the heatsink that goes to a fan controller?

I just think that 28-30c idle is kind of low, unless you have some kind of water cooling on it. Most stock clocked Venice core processors that I have seen still idle in the 30s, so I just don't understand how yours is so much cooler.

ive seen chips load in the mid 30's on air, xp120 air. so its not anything huge to load in the low to mid 40's.

What ever motherboard monitor reads... Or this software that came with my DFI Motherboard

that just makes too much sense.

but it's the clawhammer that's much more tolerant of voltage, being 130nm :p
