Will this hard drive https://www.ewiz.com/desc.php?name=HD-ST15TAS work in a RAID 5 array? The reason I'm asking is that I know that the WD Green drives have an issue with RAID set ups

right, but there is a pretty good combo deal on this drive and an SSD right now that I want to take advantage ofThe 'ES' drives are the Seagate enterprise line.
Oh ok, I wasn't aware of this. It was actually for my brother who I am going to be building a media server for this summer so if i'm going to be using this drive, what controller should I get for him? Will I need a dedicated server or will a motherboard controller work OK?Without knowing what RAID controller you have there's no way of knowing. They may drop out of the array causing a rebuild or 2 drop out losing the entire array. Hence the ES line which doesn't do this.
