1.5tb in RAID

Without knowing what RAID controller you have there's no way of knowing. They may drop out of the array causing a rebuild or 2 drop out losing the entire array. Hence the ES line which doesn't do this.

Oh ok, I wasn't aware of this. It was actually for my brother who I am going to be building a media server for this summer so if i'm going to be using this drive, what controller should I get for him? Will I need a dedicated server or will a motherboard controller work OK?
