1.5T vs 1T

ok ppl,
im loosing it, i have a big dilemma
i'm buying a new rig in a few days and i'm planing a "big" capacity in raid 5
from one side i have 1.5T ST31500341AS that costs 675nis (177$) with a 0.45nis/g ratio but have a long history of problems
from the other hand we have the 1T drives like WD10EACS, ST31000340AS, HD103UJ that costs ~550nis (144$) but i need more of them to get the same capacity and the have a 0.55nis/g ratio
1.5T * 4 = 675nis * 4 = 2700nis - 4.5T(in raid 5)
1T * 5 = 550nis * 4 = 2750nis - 4T (in raid 5)

what should i do in this matter?
 
i think u didn't get the price "point" of Israeli hdds
the 1T that costs about 100$ in USA cost's 144$ in here, thats almost 50% difference
i really don't want to know how much the fresh new 2T will cost
 
No, he's saying that the release of the 2TB drives will cause 1 and 1.5TB drives to decrease in price:)
 
i know, but Israeli shops like to keep prices high so i'll still have to spend a lot of cash
 
import from the usa. :p for the price of 100$. (and shipping cost)
