0xc00000005 error

hey guys,

wasn't sure where to post this but i figured my little trouble has been persistant ever since i built my new rig.

anywho, if anyone could help- that would be super great.

so a couple of days ago i tired installing photoshop cs4; but an error came about saying that i can not install cs4 without service pack 1; i went a head and downloaded sp1 and installed it- worked fine until yesterday while playing facebook bejeweled (it owns me)

i was prompted the '0xc000000005' error then couldn't click on any icons, close windows even bring up the task manager. i'm fairly good with troubleshoot and all that i have done has had no success! after googling the issue i found it could faulty memory but wasn't that.

i've rebooted many times and everything looks to be working but i cannot click on any icons, i have to use my right click to open and close everything!

anybody ever had this issue, perhaps someone may be able to help me?

intel core i7 920 (stock 2.67ghz)
gigabyte ud4p motherboard
partiot 6gb triple channel 1333mhz ram
2x bfg 9800gtx oc (sli config)
2x western digital black caviar 500gb 32mb cache 7200 rpm hd
antec quattro 850w psu

p.s. last night, i turned off my computer, slept on it after all the buggin around and it worked fine this morning; till again it happened when i was playing bejeweled. sounds stupid but i really don't think its because of bejeweled!!

Have you tried running memtest to see if your RAM is faulty? How about some other general stress-testing programs like Prime95 and IntelBurnTest?

try swapping ram and which windows os?

Yah which OS would be quite helpful indeed. Try only one of your sticks at a time, see if one is faulty. Last time I had 0xc000000xxx error it was due to my HDD. I don't remember the exact error, but RAM is the easiest thing to check.
