PCI-e 8 Port HBA for ZFS - Suggestions for 4TB+ support

I'm running ZFS on Ubuntu, and looking to get a controller to attach 8x4TB SATA drives. The best controller I'm aware of at the moment is the LSI 9211-8i. However, I don't believe it supports spinning-down of drives, and might not support drives larger than 2TB.

Is there a recommended HBA for ZFS that is known to be supported under Linux/Ubuntu and supports 4TB SATA drives? Drive spin-down would be nice, but not critical (plus I'm not sure if that works under ZFS anyway).
 
I have no idea about spin down, as I never give my drives a chance, but the IBM M1015s is pretty hard to beat these days.

If you using the new 4tb Seagate 5900 rpm drives they don't consume hardly any power anyhow.

I believe it does support 4TB drives. Also for the spin down you can use hdparm to have the drives spin themselves down. With that said I would not get a 9211-8i because of its high cost. Get one of the IBM M1015s for under $100 used @ ebay.
 
After reading more reviews on the 9211, it does support 4TB drives (or at least 3+TB). Haven't looked into the IBM controllers, will do that!
 
What about the PERC H200 or H310? Will those cards work as well? They seem to be cheaper on ebay and are still a 9211 variant.
