So, that's just about the diameter right? because i'm going to shorten my cables and resolder them as well, is the length in any way shape or form factoring in?
i'd say it's because of the lengthened wires... i mean.. if it would not matter how long the cables are.. don't you think they would sell those with much longer cables from rod to inverter? ;) (that would be much cooler cause i have a bigtower and problems with to short wires ;) )

there's a way.... i believe you have to connect the green and a black wire at the atx-plug..i used a small cable for that . but...

i once saw a guy who modded an optical cd-rom drive.
he just used the part of the drive that's motorised, and "connected" a cd-rw-spindle to it.. so he could store cdr's inside of his case, and by the push of the button, they were drivin outside...
