You make a good point. I don't see the maps being any different between the console and the PC. So you would think a 24 map would be too small for 64 people. I can't tell from the trailer if it seems any smaller than say Wake island on bf2. If it is clearly smaller, than 24 people makes...
everyone mentions the player count advertised being a major issue with 1943. I would be very surprised if the PC version was capped at 24. I would expect up to 64 but who knows until they say otherwise.

I think this is a good thing. I'm definitely looking forward to both. I liked BC, but had to put it down because I'm not good with gamepad.
1943 is certainly surprising and unexpected. I'm glad to hear it's coming out...
I had a home lab of a few small things (mostly applicable for the voice IE though). 95% of my lab time was via rented rack time. Dynamips works wonders but I personally preferred renting the rack time. I used dynamips when I taught na/np and my students loved it. All depends on the person...
Good Luck on your goal. I think you'll find the end result very rewarding. As far as what "is" and "isn't" realistic depends entirely on the person.
If you are coming into it with less overall experience, you will probably find yourself giving up more of your personal time then someone...
Either way will work fine. You will find there isn't always just one way to configure things. If security is a concern, you can be very explicit about what ports are allowed in via ACL and NAT'd.
Pretty much I suppose. Although the CCNA has changed a lot lately. I think you will probably find the CCNA test harder then each CCNP test by itself. Most students I have taught felt that way.

I think this a pretty interesting thread so far. I have a fair amount of experience myself in this area, so I'll shed some light on it.
The associate and professional level certs are great building blocks for Cisco technologies. Most people that work in the field have them. Reading the...
No worries.. I have same receiver.. You wont see the indications on the receiver because the ps3 is decoding it vs. the receiver. Just set your receiver to Multichannel and that's all you need. It's working normal. Remember that PS3 decodes them unless you set to bitstream. Bitstream isn't...
Our company's IT group went with Dell switches. I have worked with every model they sell.
I recently worked with them to replace them with Cisco. They really are not enterprise class, and I would probably never buy another one. We observed various crashes with Dell switches.
I would...
Like others said, RIP v2 auto summarizes to classfull boundaries.
Now, you mention that you don't use summarization and the masks show correctly.
i.e. 172.16.32.0 is a class B and would be auto summarized to 172.16.0.0/16
But you actually see the classless network show on other routers...
You can use the T1 CSU DSU WICs if you want. A regular serial interface will suffice for CCNA, but it's still fun to play with.
Run a T1 crossover cable between your two routers. You can easily make one. Pins 1,2,4 and 5 are used. Google it.
Configure one side as "clock source...
Looking ok here.
Couple things:
put your voice class on top in your policy map (router processes line by line)
I believe default max-reserved-bandwidth is 75% (unless changed)
so right away you are looking at:
1488K that you can allocate bandwidth to (75% of 1984). All non...

My first impression of the physics card was elevated after viewing the "real time" footage on their website. http://physx.ageia.com/footage.html
I noticed that the footage is different now. What happened to the comparison with the truck getting blown up (it was on that page a while before...
You have the right idea then. Hands on is the key. For CCNP look into the following:
2600 router (2620)
2524 for frame relay switch (i think that is right...)
2509/11 for terminal server (also useful for BCRAN labs)
layer 3 switch 3550 EMI image
an adtran atlas 550 is good for...
Pretty big assignment using static routes. Here is a start.
Remember you need routing logic in both directions (so think about traffic going to and from!). After configuring this with static routes, you will really learn to love dynamic routing protocols.
From Household 001 to the...
Hey there,
If you are going the online route for training, I would make sure I had some hardware to work with at home. You will need a good amount of "hands on" experience with Microsoft to pass their tests. I hold and MCSE/MCSA on 2k and 2003. I can also speak on the Cisco track as I have...
I noticed that the effective memory frequency is calculated by doubling what you see with coolbits. (i.e. my card shows 550/815) I know that means 1630 on the memory, but with 7800 and 6800 series I never had to double the values to know what my memory is really running at.
Can anyone...
I have the power adapter that plugged into the video card. The other end has 2 -4 pin molex connectors. Do these cards need 1 or both molex connectors plugged in?
