I recommend you either use Auto-Negotiation or turn it off and hard code speed & duplex. Both sides need to match either way. For Cisco gear, if one side is at Auto, and other is at 100 Full, then the other side will come up at 100 Half. If you have one side hard coded, the Fast Link Pulses...
Wireless signals typically have a better time going up, than going down. Depending on the antenna on the router.

It could be that the drop caused the flat ribbon signal cable on the backside of the LCD to become disconnected, you can double check its not the video card by making sure that external monitor port works.
