Alright, after creating this thread in Nov. of '04 I FINALLY have gotten my case together with the help of a friend. The thing has been sitting for nearly 3 years and I'm so happy I am finally getting to use it. We did the best we could with the cables using zip ties, in the future I want to go...
Holy crap, I would have never imagined that making this topic back in Nov. of 2004 would have lead to such a HUGE and constantly updated thread. I've been without a computer for 2, count them, 2 whole years. It's been bad, all I've had time for is school and work while my Coolermaster Case is...
I plan to build a new rig using a Athlon 64 CPU and all people are talking about is this memory
I've read tons of reviews on it and people claim that it is the best memory for A64 systems, but I read this article and I sorta got scared that by June this memory may not be in stock. Should I...
Well my only concern is that in my opinion the technology in the X850 Series is basicly one year old since the X800's came out around last year in Q2 I believe and I keep hearing things about ATI's new core, but I think I'll go ahead and get it since I don't feel like waiting till Thanksgiving...
Well I don't want to get a X850 XT PE in June then have it be outdated by the new ATI core 6 months down the road. I was thinking of maybe getting an X800XL then upgrading to the new ATI Flagship whenever it comes out.
What is the card that will takeover as ATI's "top dog" after the X850 XT PE series? I want to build a brand new rig using the new AMD core that will be released soon hopefully along with a DFI Lanparty nForce 4 Ultra-D and the new ATI PCI-E top of the line card. Do you think it will be out by...
I would agree, seeing the ASUS PCI-Express motherboard in your sig means that you will be hard pressed to find a X800 XT PE in PCI Express. I would go for the X850 XT PE
Yeah the only games I play are Day of Defeat and Call of Duty and they work fine but I think my PC may be bottlenecking it (PIII @ 800MHz) I wouldn't even attempt HL2 or Doom 3 on it, that's just crazy.
Like some of you mentioned I am also looking at that Acer 19 inch flat LCD monitor at the Egg and I'm a newb when it comes to Monitors so what is DVI and why is it bad that the Acer does not have it? BTW I game if it matters.
This is a nice deal considering ZipZoomFly wants $489.99 for their BFG 6800GT PCI-E

From the reviews that I've seen on NewEgg " B " seems to have good image quality and I've heard no complaints about the viewing angle. Can anyone else back up what steve has to say about " B " ???
Is your CPU a Winchester or a Newcastle core? If it is a Winchester then there are known problems with them failing prime, but I'm not sure about your 3dmark mishaps.
Don't base your opinions soley on the reseller ratings, Chumbo is a good company. Think about it though most of the people that go to reseller ratings usually have had a problem with the company usually people that have had a good experience with them don't say anything.
