There is one easy way to solve scalping. Add $1000 to the price with a $1000 mail in rebate. One rebate per account. No laws needed. Scalping would end over night.

It doesnt. The 6000 series barely do ray tracing and not really well enough to be playable in most games. If you really want ray tracing in your games then get an nvidia 3000 card. If ray tracing doesnt interest you yet then the bang for the buck performance is the 6800xt right now really.

I use the bot for tracking if it comes back, I manually buy everything. I say bot, but it's just some javascript code on their main page that refreshes and checks if anything has changed in the tiles for buying. It isn't sophisticated enough to actually buy anything.

the 6900xt isn't really any faster than the 6800xt by reviews. It just is a slightly better binned 6800xt.

Well just got around to installing this 6800 on the wife's computer. Definite jump in performance. Now I just need my new 5950x cpu and I can give the 3950x to my wife. Then she should be set for awhile. I am going to shoot for the 6900xt for my setup.

Mine got delivered today. Still holding out for a 6800xt, 6900xt, or 3080 for my main rig so not installing it yet.

But the title is TODAY in reference to launch day. In 2 weeks it won't be launch day anymore.

I dont think too many bots got this one at least direct from AMD website. There certainly are people scalping the one they got, but as far as other avenues of purchase of this card this morning I am 110% certain the bots got all those.

AMD has been doing that for weeks with random price changes on sold out pages for various products. I see the 5950x for example jump around from MSRP to almost 1400 on occasion. It's strange but whatever.
