Free bump. FYI to anyone concerned about cards used for mining, I have an EVGA 3060 Ti that I mined on for a year or so and it is working fine, no issues from mining. It is now getting used mostly for F@H.

Well, turns out the dinosaur lives, but running Win 10 on 4GB of RAM as I think one of my sticks of RAM went bad. Haven't checked the second pair yet (4x2GB set). Edit: All RAM sticks are good, RAM slot #3 doesn't work. So down to 6GB of RAM. 4GB was not working so well for Win 10 to F@H on!

Don't be so sure. Tesla, Apple, and Amazon exceeded $1000/ share with Amazon and Tesla exceeding $2,000/share before their last stock split.

Maybe, depends on their pricing for wafers and if they get enough demand from big name companies such as Apple Nvidia, etc. TSMC is the largest chip producer now, exceeding both Samsung and Intel. Intel will have the upper hand with leading edge node experience.

When I was mining ETH, I used the mani cable and daisy and had no issues. I also watched the power rails via HWinfo. I think the wiring is heavy enough to handle both plugs especially higher qulaity PSUs.

So you are still using a 4790K and trying to say that you won't accept any less than 16 physical cores per CCD is still nonsense. As chameleoneel pointed out, most games don't scale past 6-8 cores anyway. Micro stutter can be a problem, not necessarily due to CPU cores on separate dies though...

The 110 million extra I produced a couple of years ago with mining GPUs definitely helped with that record as well as the one or two people renting GPUs for that week! Maybe this year I can afford a higher end GPU for next time.
