What difference will this make for alienware or for dell if they remain 2 seperate entities ...
1) i had a dell 1.5ghz p4 willamet (yeah i know... ), and i sucked, the psu made a buzzing noise, performance was crap, and i had asked for 512mb of ram and it only came with 128... had...
you can add ", silent and cheaper" at the end of the nvidia line.
another thing is XFX is speed binning G71 cores!

Available speeds:
650 Mhz - XFX GeForce 7900GTX 512MB DDR3 (PV-T71F-YDL...
mark my words: it's a ghost card in france.
doesnt mean it was called "phantom edition" that it was true. i had no problems buying one off the shelf.
by the way the x1800xt is selling well, but that's not the subject of conversation here. it IS the 7800gtx 512mb's availability who's being...

"You can buy two 512 MB GeForce 7800 GTX video cards today and enjoy the best gaming experience on a consumer PC to date" (from "the bottom line")
oh yeah ? i can't find 1, yet 2 !!!
"Introduction:
NVIDIA simply...
it took me 5 minutes to find and buy an x800xt pe in a street shop. they actually were available in france in decent quantities.
by the way, x1800 are available everywhere here, and abundantly available at e-tailors in the usa... shops here are dead on MSRP, so that's a moderatly good sign...
in france the gtx 512 has barely even made it to reviewers... since launch, no shop has EVER had it in stock (i called them). when the 7800gtx and gt whas launched, we had them in stock the same day as you guies in the states. obviously nvidia's "immediate availability" hardocp was praising was...
http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=28257
it was only really available on release day. it seems like it's tuning into a press edition card. i've been trying to get my hands on one (2  ) for a while...
why wont the big [H] say anything ?? I WANT MY CARDS
i have just a question concerning noise :
i have had a gigabyte x800xt pe, it would make noise for about a second on POST, and then shut up and be inaudible (open case, even with my ear next to it). i just got 2 7800GTs and SLIed them.
1) one of those cards makes *much* more noise then my...
an adjective which is relevant in the description on a graphics card...
ok i've got a good one for you
yes, he said it, "design elegance". i like the "current availability". Yes a card which is not even officially available yet can't really hold availability against an...
i could do a review like that by reading the specs.
it's funny cause they dont seem to slash the 6800u scores so much for a dual slot design , especially cause the ATI dual slot design provides a heat exaust, so that when you install one of these, the case temp doesn't rise...
(quoted from...
Since they wouldn't stop mentioning back in the x800 vs 6800 days that ati didn't have sm3.0, it would have been fair to taunt nvidia about tearing and shimmering, which does affect gameplay ecperience (especially HDR wasn't playable with just one 6800u). turns out now ati has sm3.0 + a better...
little note : no one here is criticising BFG for stability, even though it was the BFG card that was at fault (and that was a demonstrated fact, not an opinion)...
ok just one thing -> the fact that there is an add-on editorial + update -> the review was posted prematurally. They should have waited for the system to come back from RMA, re-evaluated, and only then draw conclusions. When consumers fall on a screwy system, they don't call the boss whom they...
i think it's ashame, you guies should have held off publishing before getting the whole thing settled, it would have avoided this kind of situation. Now ATI is pissed off, falcon is pissed off, readers like me are pissed off (i don't want to have to hear this kind of stories between...
yeah my point too... by the way, silent PCs are mainstream, just not as dead silent as a silent oriented enthusiast's, but definatly more silent then a typical gaiming rig
if you think that way, anything between intergrated and 6600GT is just useless...
mainstream enthusiast...
6600GT isn't mainstream, 6200 is. from there on, i'm very happy for you, but 2 6200 in SLI...
but then it seems like there's a confusion in market vocabulary :
6600GT -> midrange
6200/x300/intel intergrated -> "budget" -> mainstream.
if you're of a midrange budget (150-250), and you...
ATI has had one since they named their cards "radeon"... they just didn't name it...
that's without even using application specific optimisations, just a memory controller bug fix... i'm personally waiting for ATI to release an official driver, since you all know that there are none for x1k...
Let's close the loop with my previous statement -> "Which includes all shader models up to 3.0", so SM3.0 support is therefore not necessary for WHQL DX9.0c compliance, which means that NVIDIA being WHQL DX9.0c certified is completly off topic, since we are talking about 1 particular SM...
other way around, ati has always had better (actually existing) hardware decoding. AVIVO isn't really anything... it's just giving a name to their new implementation...
Terra do you posess nvidia (NASDAQ : NVDA) stock ?
WHQL certifies DX 9.0 sompliance, not the various SMs... so saying microsoft WHQL certified is a bit off topic isn't it ? microsoft never said they certified nvidia SM3.0, but nvidia DX 9.0... SM3.0 is obviously optional since r300 is dx9, and doesnt support SM3.0...
For me the problem isn't really nvidia not supporting SM3.0, but basing their whol "6800 is maybe less performant, but is more future proof" argument on SM3.0... now somebody actaully decided to test it, and they're not even compliant....this is just laughable.
Doing that is illegal in...
latest rumours sugest a 90nm 7800gtx + 512 of ram, not necessarily 32 pipes, but higher clocked...
seems that even that can't help, the 7800gtx doesnt seem to scale that well when you add a few Mhz... the x1800 on the other hand are very Mhz hungry, and very memory bw hungry... and scale very...
i have a friend he's a 17 year old guy, he says he's an 18 year old girl in WoW, and has a elf caracter. Turns out he has like 10 cyber boyfriends, and they pay him like 10G for a strip...
He just finds it amusing ("They're such fucking loosers hahahahahha"), i find him worrying, but from...
when the first g70 specs leaked EVERYONE came up with "what ? only 24 pipelines?"
i really think it would be a good bluf if actually, nvidia didnt have a 32 pipe immediatly up its sleave, and in fact, they rushed to ship it ASAP to sell as many as possible befor r520 came up. ATI took the...
they also use them on systems with ad-in cards, so that makes intel market share where it really shouldnt be. its just more conveniant (no order re-adjusting...)
you made me smile for about 1 second... i remind you that r520 was demod @ computex...
by the way, their is no point being at the second SM3.0 generation, since it's a standard, a well thaught out emplimitation doesnt require tweaking after launch...
by the wat ATIs SM2.0+ has just about all...
