I dont think a replacement will solve this problem since I feel that *all* 2405 monitors have this high pitched sound. maybe the ambient noise in your room drowns it out or maybe you arent sensitive to it, but it is there. just look at all the posts in the dell forums about people complaining...

I would not get PNY. they have the worst customer service ever. I sent in a 6800gt for replacement over 2 months ago, and they still havent sent me a card back. their excuse: there is currently a shortage of 6800gt gpus, so we cant build any cards... yeah sure :rolleyes:
