I installed a DVD burner in my computer. It has some funny behaviors with CDs:
It will burn CDRs and verify them
Later, it won't read the CDR if I insert it.
It won't read some commercial CDs
It will boot off a bootable CD, but that same CD won't be readable if I access it in windows.

I also had a bad experience with Buy.com recently. Same deal - listed the monitor as in stock, ships the same day. A week later it was still unshipped. I cancelled the order. The whole time their website listed it as in stock.
This is how Buy.com operates - thier in-stock messages are...
I spent a while looking through this thread and didn't find any mention of a device or how to play full screen 16:9 DVDs on this monitor without using the computer.
Can anyone clarify this? Is it possible to use the L2335 as a widescreen monitor using the video inputs (not the DVI or VGA...
I bought this monitor mainly as a computer display, but I did try to plug in a Dreamcast via SVideo. It scaled the image up while keeping the ratio (although it did seem to cut some off the top and bottom to allow it to be wider). It didn't allow me to set the custom scaling behavior like Scale...
My experience with SONY CRT monitors was a 20" Sony that I bought for $1400. The waranty was for 3 years, the monitor lasted for 3 and a half years. I'll never buy a SONY again.
On the other hand, my original NEC Mulitsync lasted for almost 10 years before it became too obsolete to keep.
The L2335 has a resolution of 1920 by 1200, this is a ratio of 1.6. However the spec sheets describe it as having a 16:9 ratio, which is a ratio of 1.77.
Are the pixels on the L2335 square (I sure hope so)?
Can someone post the actual dimensions of the image area in inches or centimeters?
