Missed the original sales on Amazon/BHP, but was able to get BB to price match with WD.com, so still worked out in the end.
I should probably update my signature one of these days lol.
I thought it was strange that the BQ adapter was just sitting in california for a full week. Newegg finally updated my shipping to show a one week delay.
As a backup, someone recommended the adapter form the 3090Ti and I originally had that ordered from Amazon. But they too pushed back shipping...
The 5600G actually hit $199 on Friday, so the price cut is already there. Honestly don't know why they left 5600X's price unchanged, but Microcenter will be Microcenter lol.
Unlike the 11th gen, the price of power consumption is actually acceptable for the performance increase in the 12th gen.
Or as Dr Strange says, I've come to bargain lol.
Thanks for the heads up on the game length. I had no idea the game was so short - 7.5 / 9.5 / 11.5 hrs for main story, +extra, completionist.
I guess I can wait on this, I already have quite the backlog anyway.
The bundles were better and cheaper about 3 weeks ago; literally everything went up $100-$150 and got much worse.
The 3080Ti bundle was $1660 and $1730 - the $1730 getting a 750W G3 PSU.
There was a 3060 bundle for $589 and the non-LHR 3070 bundles were around $880 and $900. Yes, still more than...
Been in Microcenter's GPU 'reservation' list for nearly two months. Curious if this thing is actually moving lmao.
We barely see eVGA cards now - but I refuse to pay the insane Gigabyte/MSI/Asus markup, so could be waiting easily into 2022 if it's some garbage MSI Ventus that comes in.
Hope it...
Lol don't know how much that will help. I was basically an hour late on getting into the queue, so I'm probably in the thousands in the queue (i.e. won't get one for over a year).
Probably still faster to just roll the dice at Microcenter drops at this point. The best available info was that...
Hey - a win is a win.
I'm expecting another "L" email for the shuffle tonight lol.
Not sure what to think about that ShopBLT queue for the LHR cards. I got in super late, but now they removed the links and pages for it lmao. Got the confirmation email, but obviously nothing charged.
That's two trucks days now that Rockville has had decent drops - assuming people are telling the truth lol.
60+ line on Tuesday and supposedly 20 3070s (Asus and MSI) for Thursday. I dunno, someone mentioned they had 3060Ti cards on Tuesday, and that raised alarms considering how rare they are...
Can't you just buy the $8.98 bundle directly from the website? I might just end up uninstalling the Steam version cuz I'm running into the same issues as LurkerLito
https://benchmarks.ul.com/3dmark#windows
I think it was brought up in another thread for this deal.
My GTX260 is on permanent loan to in-laws lol. GTX 580 still works, but has to be downclocked on core/memory for stability - first/last time I touch a Zotac product on that note. Still, it's a working card, so it has value.
I feel like this is where the notifications servers were somewhat helpful - compared to Amazon listing notifications, which definitely aren't lmao.
Note - it was the Twitter notification that I noticed before Discord itself - see the tweet here, which was two minutes before checkout opened...
Just got a 5900X from MC, so nice to be able to get something at list price.
Does mean I'm committed to an AMD build now though lol. I was debating the whole - go as cheap as possible (11400 or 10600K debate) on CPU, but I guess that's out the window now.
If it's anything like early Diablo 3 access, I'll have terrible luck on invites lol.
Since this one is Act1/2 only SP, I don't think it's the biggest loss. I only caught a brief part of MrLlama's stream earlier.
Interesting - never heard of the ID Cooling 224 until now. Of course, haven't really dabbled with low-end stuff since 212+ years ago.
Looking at reviews, it beats the Cryorig H7 easily - and I feel like <$30, it was already a crap shoot, but I'm definitely impressed. Loud fan aside, that can be...
Already started researching mobos too - Z490 MAG Tomahawk looks nice ($199). Buildzoid gave a nice endorsement for it.

Usually I would go with the Gigabyte board, but the cheapest one is $249...
I gotta admit - since the 6800XT, reference AMD cards look (and sound - noise levels) impressive.
At $479 SEP (and whatever retailers actually list it at) - there's still quite a gap in its current gen, unless they're just happy to fill that out with 5700/5700XT?
Not that the 3060 is doing much...
I was actually expecting having to repeat that lonely grind lol - after all, I'm already used to that from playing it so much.
Also makes me wonder about the item economy with HRs. If the new BNet is supposed to be robust and eliminate botting, duping, what have you - how will trading be done...
It's been pretty funny listening to MrLlamaSC and how long he's been holding onto this info without saying a peep to his Twitch viewers.
But it's been amazing - knowing how, years ago Blizzard got him a Blizzcon ticket, he flew out, saw that Immortal debacle.
He had a stream from his hotel...
I wonder if I dodged a bullet going with the Hitachi rebadges? I have the 6GB 6003FFBX (1.5TB/platter).

Do you remember the model code on your 2TB and 4TB drives?
Otherwise my experience with WD drives - well...
I was looking up the automotive chips - either NXP Semiconductors of Infineon. I thought it was especially interesting that much of their TriCore products are still 32-bit chips based off of 90nm and 65nm process.
Now I realize it really depends what chip and for what function certainly is a big...
Obligatory 'hope everyone can speak Mandarin' lol. It's the reading that's tougher than speaking honestly.
In all seriousness, BTC is still holding fairly high, so large scale demand is not gonna change. Paypal allowing users on Venmo to buy/hold/sell likely helped this rally in the fall (Q4'20...
I really wish BB allowed physical sales instead of online-only. Yeah lines would be similarly crazy, but consider the number of Best Buy locations vs Microcenter - certainly would be more fair.
Of course I am lucky that I don't need to buy one right now. I'm well aware of typical $50-$75 markup...
Lol that 4th edit about mud huts.
FinTwitter in general has been vaguely talking about trust - though I don't think it was going down the rabbit hole that's discussed in that WSB thread.
This thread I was reading yesterday in essence described it more as a plumbing issue. The scary part is more...
