I've been contemplating selling my VII as well. It's all stock still, haven't even bothered with any OCing at all. And tell me more about this 50% coupon...
I bought from AMD.com on launch day and got it the next day before noon. I picked up another at Microcenter this weekend... My brother picked one up as well....
Thank you hazmatic. Yes these were used to mine XMR. With the possibility of another shutdown looming, I decided to part out my 2 smallest rigs. That said, all of the 500s have been restored to their stock bios. The vega's were never modified. My rigs were mounted on bakers racks and run...
I would say marketing, pricing and most importantly lack of titles that use what they were trying to sell. It's been what... almost 5 months? And we got a single game, 2 benchmarks and a demo?
In addition, *everyone* knows that a die shrink is up next for nv. The next release should allow...
Time to declutter, here's what I have:
6x Asus RX560 2GB (originals, not the fewer shader models) = $65 each *2 SOLD*
1x Visiontek RX560 2GB = $65
- Local pickup (ATL), Paypal or cash app preferred
- Lowballs will be ignored
- I don't care how much someone else sold their merch for
- Typically...
All good! Would be nice if reviewers/tech youtubers would compare and contrast the performance differences with these setups. I mean if you think about it, it probably comes down to better perf with a Dell lock in vs lower perf with much more flexibility, system wise.
The AGA isn't Thunderbolt, it's full fledged PCI-E 3 x4. I'll hazard a guess and say that you wont loose too much at 1440p with a monitor directly connected to the 2070. But it'll probably vary game to game. That's been my experience with a 1080 Ti and Vega 64.
You need more threads, without question. There are many engines out there that'll 100% those 4 threads and you'll still have room for growth. Frostbyte comes to mind. Even with a 1060. My advice? Nab a 2600 or 2600X, B350/B450 board and some quick RAM. Use that until you get the ends to...
One of my friends just took delivery of his Model 3. Although I wouldn't buy one, its pretty neat. As for the autodrive stuff, when he let me drive, the damn thing almost totaled itself when approaching a red light as the car in front of us changed lanes suddenly approaching the stop...
Personally, I was never a hater or a fan of him or his work, this new title just didn't appeal to me (and apparently many others). At all. It happens. *shrugs*
Here's my very first dedicated rig. Well more of an experiment.

Only had a chance to swap boards in my main rig last night. As expected, the Taichi and Fatality Professional are practically identical. Windows didn't even burp like it usually does when a board swap has taken place.
Only differences to note are:
black/red vs black/white
SB Cinema 3...
Haven't tried W7 yet. But with all the chatter about the scheduler behaving differently, I may install it on another drive and see if I can corroborate the claims.
So! I managed to make it sneeze. On a whim, I loaded up Ashes of the Singularity and ran the CPU focused benchmark. About halfway through it blanked out. Hit the reset button and I'm rolling again. Looks like I need to do a bit of tweaking to keep it stable under heavy loads. Going to...
I AM!
My first stability test passed with flying colors! Left this looping all day. That's basically 12 hours. Not sure if accurate but the temp never went above 44c. Cooler is a Corsair H60 in a 2 fan push pull config using some old Corsair static pressure fans. And I have the built in...
