Main, are you trying to pass this testing off as your own? WTF
You're not the tester....I am (even when I signed up a few years ago, Vapor was taken, meh).

As for why the mod works on the XT, I'm really not sure why it works. When I disassembled the block, the pins went...
Have here a barely used Slim PS2 for sale. Comes in retail packaging, with all the wiring plus a component cable. Controller and composite cable have never been used. Set sells new for $165+, so I'll let it go for $135 + shipping.
Will ship anywhere (but this is the USA version, so good...
A perfect game for pushing your card to the max and SEEING what it can do: Madden 06.
Even at 1600x1200 4xAA/16xAF, there is NOTICABLE room for improvement with jaggies and texture blurring. Unfortunately, my GTX-256 wasn't good enough to run 8xAA, even at 600/1600, and now it's broken so no...
Or, maybe, just speculating beyond belief here, they intentionally infringed on the patent, realized it'd be cheaper just to buy the company and did it. :D
Anyway, I don't see a 2.8GHz CPU on AM2, ever ;)
Also, clock for clock, with DDR2-667 vs. DDR400, I'm guessing single core will be...
As awesome as that looks....that sucks guys. I kinda get the same problem when I clock my GTX WAY too high, but I also get regular artifacts so this is just odd.
Yes, but this isn't the 6800C1 and from the looks of it the mounting screws for the fan are not hex or phillips or anything useful but rather a circle and therefore likely a permanent fan.
My question still stands: can the end user attach a fan of their own liking?
Hmmmm, would it be possible to install a better fan more suited for your tastes in noise/performance? Some might want a Tornado while others might want a silent fan.
It's not like there's 500 choices in IC, there's 3 GOOD ones, and 2 of them can't do tighter than 3-3-3 above 250MHz. They didn't have much of an option, frankly.
Be happy that they take their time to bin and DO come out with a better product.
Yeah, your list is sorely lacking the Ultra-D, which really isn't that hard to use and is about as solid as any motherboard ever as long as you don't muck with it. That and most everyone on the forum here would be in a lot better posititon to help should you have any problems setting it up or...
Kinda looks like you have colored mipmaps forced--not quite though.
Sorry man, don't know what exactly is wrong. Have you tried a reinstall on everything to make sure it isn't software?
First impression: I'm lost.
Then I waited and looked for a few seconds....and I disliked it more. Why are articles getting so little emphasis on the page?
After even more time of looking at it...it's not that bad I guess. Different headline names would have made that transition faster...
I won't play a game if it doesn't look *great*--it's that simple.
I do completely understand your viewpoint though, you game for the game, I game for the graphics. I also benchmark because who doesn't like to push their system to the edge in a competitive forum? Having a higher base...
That's not what he said....he was saying that in a couple years, after you've been playing with HDR and AA on in your games, todays games (or those that don't have it) will look like crap in comparison. (he was responding to someone who just didn't see the big deal)
And they were definitely low quality JPEGs....yuck. PNGs and TIFFs are the only way to go for IQ shots (hint hint, Brent!), even high quality JPEGs have compression artifacts in them.
As for AF, you're correct, it was horribly absent.
Those images look like crap--I *hate* JPEGs!! Looks like the HDR effects are quite nice, esp with AA. Wonder if it'll run at 1920x1200 max IQ on my system.
Where did you get your info from?
2.66GHz will probably be the max by the end of 06, if this has any similarity to Yonah in terms of efficiency and clocking.
Although it most likely won't be THAT similar, so who knows....PURE speculation!
It's technically possible with doublestacking the chips, but then heat would be too insurmountable to allow these to be used (if they could be double stacked). They're density really only leaves them to be used in <513MB realm.
There are some products coming out (eventually, nothing...
2GB dual channel is the same thing as two 1GB sticks....
I would recommend the ASUS board for you...it will "just work" right out of the box and is a solid performer. Decent amount of tweakability, nothing close to the DFI, but I don't think that seems to be your focus.
My stock cooler got me to 515/1485...going to water only gained me ~30 MHz on the core. Load temps are a chilly 42C...
Anyway, a better cooler isn't necessary, IMO as you will only gain ~15MHz at the most on the core with air. If you go to water, be prepared to do a vmod cos these things...
Single stage phase will be fine...it's when it gets to -80 or so that there's a separation between the men and the boys. Very few make it past -100, but when they do they seem to work at any temp.
My Voyeurmods experience was very similar...just with a MCW50 was missing because of an order system error and it was overnighted to me the day they got it in stock.
