Is there a way to have a VMC box go to sleep mode when not in use but wake itself when there is a recording about to start? Or should I just turn off the sleep mode altogether?

I can understand the logic behind the idea of no av. However, I have to disagree a bit, because while my HTPC may not be online, other computers will be. The HTPC will have open shares and with other in the household online a virus can easily spread from their PC to the HTPC.
