My wife bought a Zero S over the summer with some additional accessories including a wind visor, lay down bars, and a helmet case on the back of the bike for under 15K. I thought it was crazy expensive for a bike that has a 90 mile range to it. Seems I owe her an apology after seeing Harley's...
From the articles I've read, the base Model 3 was projected even by Tesla to be the rarest of the rare. Just having the autopilot added was 5k. The performance and Extended range models were planned as first out the door. But I do see your point. I doubt Tesla ever planned to play in the Leaf...
Say what? It must be my imagination that there are 3 Model 3's in my parking lot at work. A Tesla dealership down the street has them sitting on the lot. What do you mean the main Model3s are not out yet?
Jealous about the powder coated PEI sheet. I have mine marked on Prusa's wishlist when they are available. The steel sheet PEI bed works well though so not too many complaints from me.
Just FYI, I have about 3 kilometers /48 days of total print time on my MK3, and the parts cooling fan...
Man, are they in for a surprise when it hits high double-digit temps with no rain in sight if CA keeps its cycle of two seasons a year (Summer/Not Summer). :)
Both are great printers, so the biggest question I'd ask myself? What do you plan on printing? The Mini is a 152x152x158mm vs the Prusa's 250x210x210mm.
I have a Lulzbot TAZ6 and a Prusa MK3. While I love my workhorse TAZ and its massive build volume, the Prusa's fit and finish plus ease of...
I have an MK3 that arrived a couple weeks back. I'm still in the honeymoon phase, but this thing prints like a dream. The magnetic parts removal system is crazy good, though I ended up with the steel sheet PEI instead of the powder coated PEI sheet. Other than that, this thing is damn near...
Figured I'd see what the overall list of 3D peeps like to use for printing. I'll start:
Lulzbot TAZ 6 (This thing is my workhorse)
Robo3D R1+ (Good for detail/cosplay pieces)
I have on the way a Prusa MK3 which should be here by end of month. What printers do you guys have?
Over the past couple of years, I've purchased several brands of PLA, ABS, Nylon, and Copolymer. Hatchbox makes good PLA, but I've had moisture retention which will cause layer adhesion issues if too much is absorbed. Their ABS is worth it though. I use a PEI sheet and get low warping with their...
Couldn't find Phantom Dust on Xbox Live. Haven't checked the Windows store yet. According to Polygon, it was supposedly available the 16th. Not yet from what I can tell.
Not sure I agree with that assessment. PLA tends to be more brittle. Most prototype tools and parts are printed in ABS for its strength, especially if you vapor bath your parts. PETG has the best of both worlds (structural rigidity, easy to print). Check out Tom's on Youtube where his strength...
It looks like your extrusion multiplier for the initial layer height is set too high in your slicer, or, your Z offset is too far from the bed. That will cause delamination of the layers as well.
While PLA can be strong, I'd think this is the kind of tool you want to use ABS or PETG primarily...
It always takes me a second when I hear "drone" on the news. I've been calling them RC Quadcopters for quite some time, but the news likes the term so it stuck. Guess that's better than UAV (unmanned ariel vehicle), but drone conjures up images of a much larger craft of the military variety.
My kids love watching others play games online, though I can't stand the over dramatized screaming/jump scare type stuff the streamers seem to be into. Hearing the same scream the 432nd time while the kids watch on the iPad downstairs makes me want to kill the wifi connection.
Ran into a problem after the update. My Xbox One controller stopped working. I'd power it on, the X would start flashing until it linked with the wireless USB adapter only to immediately turn off once paired. I was able to fix the problem by unplugging the receiver and moving to a different USB...
Been gaming on a Dell 34" curved monitor for the past four months. Other than some games not supporting the native 3440x1440 resolution, I've enjoyed the viewing angle the monitor provides. I went from a 30" and 27" monitors to a single 34". The only issue is gaming at 1440P as my 980Ti...
Same here. One of the first games this year I bothered to complete. I was able to get all the threat levels to zero and spent way too much time hunting for relics. Excellent game.
Five systems in my house and the little Win10 system tray icon tells me it will notify me when ready. Ah well, guess I won't be bitten by early bugs by jumping on board first day.
Built my new X99 system with this case and I love it! I ended up picking up another Air240 to redo my daughters overheating SFF LianLi box. I really dig this case.
Good to hear. Some of us like to change up our graphics cards between the two camps from time to time. I'd hate to buy a monitor that no longer supported my GPU because I switched teams. :)
Also, I thought FreeSync worked regardless if you were running an AMD or Nvidia GPU. Is this still correct? The press snippet reads as if its only compatible with AMD Radeon graphics cards.
I've been hanging with my 3770k for the past couple of years. It seems as of late, the next gen CPUs aren't so much about clock speed or tick tock improvements but more in lines of chipset improvements for motherboard manufacturers (faster I/0, USB 3.0, mPCI-e). I may hold out another year for...
What if I use my middle finger to unlock? You have a 1 in 4 chance of taking the correct finger (not counting your thumb). Might as well take the whole hand.
