Once I started purchasing the higher end cards in every generation I started to hear coil whine in every card I've owned. Just always assumed it came with the insane power draw. All of my PSUs have always been tier A from "the" psu tier list and I've always used pure sine wave UPSs... It's...
My "issue" with the 5900x is seeing it hit 90C in things like Realbench 8hr stress test. And I'm on a custom loop on CPU and GPU (6900xt). Though AMD is saying (reddit.com/r/AMD) we have to rethink max temps as the 5900x is perfectly fine to run 90C 24/7 supposedly. With my current PBO...
I had similar issues to what you're describing on an earlier Ryzen build. It ended up being a ram issue (after lots of hardware trial and error). The ram passed all tests but I was having random GPU crashes and performance in BF 1 and V and Anthem. Decided since the ram I was using at the...
I really want to love Anthem. Played the alpha and the betas and the demo and now retail, all on PC. The alpha ran flawlessly for me. The first beta caused random BSODs and CTDs. The second beta weekend and the demo weekend still had CTDs but I never saw a BSOD. Retail hit, still getting...
I ordered my usual size, wear the same size in pretty much every brand I've ever tried, plus or minus a 1/2. The pair I got are at least 2 sizes too big.
I like how they tout 17+ hrs of viewing time for streaming media, 17.3hrs streaming Game of Thrones. But then on their versus against the redmi note 5 it died after "only" 12hrs 52mins of streaming media. Marketing meet product, product meet marketing.
Lots of ubiquiti love here. I was a full Ubiquiti geared house. Started having reboot problems with my AC-LRs, so decided to try a bunch of different APs. I don't know what magic TP-Link did with the EAP245, but for the price it is extremely hard to beat. Great range and great performance...
I'd be living check to check if I had a Fry's or Microcenter around me... Hell, I'd probably have to start pimping myself out if I had both of them near me.
I always want to love MSI (I don't know why), but every MSI board I've ever owned has had to be RMA'd at least once (including my most recent AM4 board). MSI does stand behind their products, so that's a plus.
I think AsRock is a gem in terms of balance between price and build quality and...
This is one of those odd situations where, you don't really want to support a company that doesn't pay its employees...... But not supporting them contributes to them not paying their employees.... Ohh the pickle.
I bought it in hate.
I swear there was a Vega 64 for $499 on Newegg for a bit on Monday... I'd actually buy it @ $499 and run it with the power saver profile. I just like Freesync more than G-Sync. But @ $599 I might as well just get a 1080.
Yes, it's still amazing that he's getting gigabit speed out of cat 4 at any distance. The max speed we've gotten from cat 4 at work is 57Mb/s at a distance of 20ft. We didn't test any shorter than that because we don't have runs shorter than that. Maybe we did a horrible job or our equipment...
If it's wireless ac and your set on pci-e, get this and be done:

I ended up going for it, may kick myself later. I'll throw the 290 in my guest gaming rig to replace the gtx 570 in there. The 1080, even with the new price cut, is out of my ball and chain allowed price range. However, if the Vega in my price range really is great I may just get it and then...
I play @ 1080P @ 144hz. The 290 I have does not overclock at all and it's no longer really playable in newer games unless I turn down a lot of options. Should I go for a 1070 or try to hold out to see what Vega brings in Q2?

I'm not sure what it was/is with the game. But it's on the small list of games I started and couldn't put down so finished in the same weekend I started it. Is def worth $10.
Got a mailer today from Newegg with these in it, along with some other smaller capacities.

Just about any modern consumer router you buy that has come out in the past year or two will be 1gb capable with the default setup. As most have at least hw nat offload these days. The slow downs start to occur when you add firewall rules or turn on something that disables hardware offload...
My first pc ever I got a Matrox 2d card (can't remember model) and 2x 12mb Vodoo 1s 3dfx branded. I actually still have the VooDoo 1s, found them the other day. Then from the VooDoo 1s I got a Kyro based tile graphics card from I believe Diamond and then a Diamond nvidia tnt card, could see...
