It seems Neweggs policy of letting anyone write a review on any product as long as their sighned in leaves it open to abuse.
I myself would like to see them only allow people who actually purchased the product from Newegg have the ability to leave a review for said product.
.
The deal he got ended yesterday (27th).:(
Similiar deal.

PCPER, does real world testing, no timedemos. Its not thier fault ATI doesnt shine in the the real world. Andtech or toms is probably more your speed with thier flybys and cutscene's. Hard, PCPer, Bit-tech, Driverheaven all do realworld testing and they show how ATI and Nvidia really play in game.

I think your going to have to RMA the card. The stepup faq states:
I cant believe tech support would suggest this "on the down low" crap, Evga tests your return card. He should know this. I suppose he didnt mention that if they reject it you will be charged for shipping your rejected card back...
Rivatuner v2.07 is out, and XP SLi fan control, temp monitorig and independant shader overclocking with XP SLi is all workig properly. No need for the NVAPI workarounds with RT 2.07.:D

Your motherboard came with the pcb type and those are out of stock at ASUS, but they have the flex type in stock. It's for the A8N32 SLi DLX but A8N and A8N32 have the same spaceing. I use the pcb type that is for the A8N-SLi on my A8N32-SLi DLX.

That OpenGL error is a game issue, patch the game and it should work fine. No need for Rivatuner.

When you set "NVAPIClockControl" value to "0" just overclock as you always have, then check your clocks on both cards. You dont have to clock the cards seperatly, in fact you cant
(you will get what just happened to you). Overclock your primary card and the clocks will apply to both cards...
One of my EVGA 8800GT SSC's uses HYNIX.

Ive seen some other posts that state some are useing Samsung.
There is a issue with RivaTuner v2.06 SLi overclocking and XP. You cant use independant shader overclocking and SLi with XP, Only one card will be overclocked. This affects G80 and G92.
For SLi overclocking in XP and RT v2.06
1.)Go to power user tab in Rivatuner
2.) Choose "RivaTuner\System"...
You can download the app from Nvidia.

I went from a 7950GX2 to 8800GT and can say with 100% conviction go with the 8800GT. The 8800GT has better IQ and is faster, no profiles to deal with also. And as movax pointed out the resolution your gameing at SLi wont be all that great. Dont get me wrong the 7950GX2 is a good card, I had 2X...
This is a 8800 GT review but includes the 2900 PRO. Doesnt look like it is worth the $200.00 price tag. A guy would be better off spending $50 to $70 more for the 8800 GT, even if he had to scrounge aluminum cans for extra cash...
That is Correct.
Well ATI knew about this but failed to inform reviewers, which is sleazy.
And reviewers who even posted screens that show the lack of AF but didnt even notice are lazy. So we have sleazy and lazy. Great for consumers.

2900XT is not renderring HDR correctly, if at all. Open these in seperate windows and flip between them. notice the lack of HDR and notice the floor between the pilots (banding)
2900XT isnt doeing HDR properly in COH and Splintercell also. Easy to be fast when your not renderring HDR effects...
Actually about the only thing Scan line interleave (3dfx) and Scalable link interface (Nvidia) share are the premise that 2 GPU's are better than one and of course their abbreviated name is SLi.

If shimmering in a particular game is bad, you only have to disable one optimization. Anisotropic Sample Optmization, there is no need to run High Quality. What I mean is there is really no point in disableing the other non intrusive optimizations at work also.

Rivatuner has on screen display, clock speeds, temps, and much more. (see screenshot)

I assume Rivatuner supports 7950 GX2, but Im not sure.
The load balanceing bar in DirectX games is disabled when you enable vsync, but still works in opengl based games. SLi does work with vsync enabled. Ran a quick test, I normally run 1600x1200@110Hz but set my refresh rate to 85Hz for the test.

If you want to know the size of a particular card then go to digit-life.com, they always include the measurments. Here is a review with 7900 GTX and 7950 GX2.
