correct me if im wrong but was it that microsoft company that developed the business model of giving stuff away for free, then monopolized the entire earth with their stuff? Im not sure.
acas - You should definately check the OCZ site, or even newegg. if i remember correctly, the ocz might start its voltages @ 2.7 especially for pc4200
Wait i just checked- and IT STARTS @ 2.8!!! here is the quote-
I was in the same predicament as you, figuring it should just run at those...
ENRIL- At the start i had them 2.5-3-3-7 (changed them manually to 3-4-4-8) I think if I remember correctly, thats what the AUTO or "by SPD" setting set it at by default.
the highest ive had it was 2.7, i think ive tried 2.8 with little or no luck. im not sure were ive read it but correct me if im wrong, this mobo ic7g doesnt put out the correct (undervolt) voltages?
just a question, are the agp/pci frequencies locked? cause if they arent you will certainly have trouble with the onboard/chip sata, which in turn will only look to boot off the less troubled optical drive.
my first was a p3 450 slot1 on a be6 with the alpha cooler and dual ys tech loud fans, mushkin ultra memory (was the most expensive part at the time) got it to 667. @ that time online stores were selling tested chips.
just my 2 cents but that nb temp seems like its high, Ive had better luck cooling the mosfets with a fan blowing directly on them. on an abit board if im not mistaken it is read as pwm.
ive ran p95 (2 instances) for 3 hours (only because i had to go to sleep) with winamp with an approx 1100x500 vis +q3 , etc etc ,
