I have, and there IS an updated BIOS for this card but the server doesn't have a floppy drive in it. I guess I'll have to scrounge one up from somewhere and install it. Any other thoughts?
(This is a repost from Anandtech forums since I thought posting in an actual Disk Storage Systems forum might get more of a response. I also apologize for the length of the post, but I tried to include as much info as I could.)
Hi all! I'm having a problem with my RAID setup and I need some...
As far as what the GPU makers are saying, no more AGP cards will be produced. the 6800\x850 lines are the last. That may change, but I wouldn't count on it. I'd pick one up now as they're going to become scarce in the future.
I've done it on my machine but the only major screw up I had was a few years ago. I had a drive that I wanted to reformat, and I also had a separate drive with a separate partition that I backed everything up to (you know, just like you should...). However, when it came time to format, I...
When you say it saves it as a generic file, what do you mean? It should prompt you for the file name and the type of file. What's the file that you're clicking on and it's extension? This info would help...
Heh, we've all done something similar... Just open Windows Explorer
Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Show Hidden Files and Folders
That should show you the hidden file as a semi-transparent icon on your desktop.
Please tell me you have something more current... lol
As for me? My old trusty Gateway Performance 500 with all stock except for vid card. Works well and is like a rock (a big heavy slow rock, but I digress...). I got it right before the Pentium Pro came out and I was sooooooooo mad...
Sounds like a possible heat issue. If the CPU's not getting cooled then once it warms up it'll hit it's thermal limit and automatically shut off. Maybe you can check your HSF? HTH

Got mine on Friday and was surprised when I got it... It was in the box wrapped in bubble-wrap; no box, manual, software, nothing! just a drive wrapped in bubble-wrap in a box. I thought it was interesting...
On a useful note, I've used it to make a few backups of my system stuff. Seems...
I'm with Orinthical on this one. Unless you're running a Frac-T or higher I don't really think you need a Cisco router. His suggestion above about using two OTS routers (the gaming one uplinked to a Gig-e switch) and 2 static IP's is exactly what I was thinking of. That way your gaming...
It's POSSIBLE that the PS is bad, so if you have another one you can throw in there to test it would help. As far as it being aboe to run it, it should be more than enough. I'm still leaning towards the heat issue. Also, just because the HS\fan is on there the way it's supposed to be doesn't...
Have you theought that it might be overheating? That's why it lasts for the 40 secs as it heats up and then shuts down and then won't stay up until you let it cool down? Just a possibility... HTH
It's more than likely due to SP2 limiting the number of connection to your machine. You should look in the forums of the respective P2P progs for an answer.
IIRC it's because the PS2 is outputting the signal in the NTSC format, which is only like 525 lines of resolution. Your monitor is used to a FAR HIGHER resolution. To do this you would need a "VGA Adapter". HTH
I'm with Achtung on this one. If you don't like the grouping of IE's windows then you may like Tabbed Browsing. There's lots of alternatives out there, Firefox being the non-MS one. I personally use Maxthon, which is based on the IE engine. I don't want to start a flame war, so try them and...
Try this (Google is your friend...):
To setup your MSN based account in Outlook XP, please follow the instructions given below:
1. Click Tools and then click E-mail Accounts.
2. Under E-mail, click Add a new e-mail account, fill in the following two dialog boxed
3. On the Server Type...
IS your router losing you IP lease? That could be one reason. Check the lights on the front of your modem and see if there's a problem. If possible, check your modem logs and\or router logs to see if you can see anything. You say the rest of the network works fine, can you ping addresses on...
This would be helpful to know. If you're a CCIE\CNE\MCSE\etc then it's easier to make a guess. I personally charge as follows (and I got this from someone else, but I don't remember who, so if that person sees this then thanks!):
$25\hr for me to fix
$35\hr for me to tell you how to fix it...
I installed the 4.10's without the CCC (just installed over the 4.9's) and everything seemed ok until I needed a R-Click menu, then it takes about 3 seconds for the menu to slowly appear (as in it WOULD appear, but it would be choppy). I restored back to the image that I made just before that...
Just wanted to say thanks to all who post in this forum I'm pretty much a lurker but I want you to know that the tips\suggestions and helpfulness of the people in the forum allowed me to OC my rig with no noticeable problems (and very noticeable gains). Specs:
P42.4C OC'd to 3.01GHz...
Try telling the client machine the IP of the game host. There should be an option in the multiplayer client to specify the server IP. Use that one and see what happens!
Could be My Computer is looking on the network for shares. Try Tools-->Folder Options-->Browse for Shares (or something like that)
Uncheck the box for it and reboot
