yea, a usb dvd-rom or cd-rom would prolly be the way to go.... if you have a desktop as well, oyu may be able to copy over the installation files by plugging the hard drive into the desktop and starting the installation, but not sure if you have a desktop to try that with...or if the connectors...
Not sure about the whole recovery process..never used that part of the computer. i just formatted the hard drive and went from there...you might be in a pickle if you dont have a cd-rom on the machine...
