No you are right, it only does 4gb at a time. Doesnt matter i sorted it all out.. I had grabbed the wrong dvd and had installed the checked/debug version of vista ultimate... Evidently this version is as stable as a hollywood teenage harlet after a 4 week meth/speed/blow/alkihol binge...

still no dice with 4gb of ram.. one thing i am gonna do is reinstall with the NON check/debug version of the os (evidently i grabbed the wrong dvd)... Hopefully that makes things a bit more stable..

Yeah gonna start pulling memory now... And ran it for a good 2 hours did multiple passes and found nothing. (this is brand new ram and brand new vid card, and mobo, and cpu)
