This is M42, the orion nebula. This is my best shot so far. It can get MUCh better than this, but I am not there yet
This is M81 and M82. One is an edge on galaxy, the other is a spiral. If you look closely at the galaxy in the upper right, you can just make out the big spiral arms. They...

He has some GREAT articles in there. Watch the ones about the $800 question, and "dont do what I did" especially.
Whatever you do, stay FAR away from dept store telescopes, and 99% of what is sold at palces like ritz camera brick and mortar stores.
99.9% sure thats it :) Its been a long time since I had my S7000...
The wide lense I had was either a WCON-07 or WCON-08 I dont rememebr which. I paid liek 48 bucks shipped and it was AWESOME.
I used the FUJI tele extender, which IIRC was abotu 125 bucks? but well worth it. Dont buy the...
Its not showing up on any other long exposure/high iso shots though.
Im telling you guys, it was not the camera. I have done extensive testing after that, and took many other shots that night, and its not in any of them.
The Olympus .08x one you can get off ebay for like 40 bucks shipped is regarded as the best. The kenko ones, and the other chinese ones are all pretty much garbage. The Fuji made lens is also top notch, but will cost you a lot more than the olympus.
There is a GREAT forum for the Fuji...
The scope is colimated dead on with a laser, its just that I focused it through the camera instead of with a mask.
Also the seeing was HORRIBLE last night, which affects it big time.
Its either a star or Saturn. Saturn was VERY close to the moon tonight, and VERY bright. So with the way fast exposure that was used, it very well may have come out like that. I have seen stars do that before.
It looks soft because of the compression and because it wasnt 100% focused, its...
I left this large because I didnt feel a resize did it justice. I compressed it a touch so it will load in a reasonable time though :)
Again, prime focus right through the telescope.
Astrophotography is, when you get serious about it, an INCREDIBLY expensive hobby. And the learning curve is almost a wall. What I did is about as basic as it gets. I bought my scope with viewing with my eyes as its primary purpose, with some LIGHT astrophotography once in a while too...
I know its not the best but it was my first attempt in my light polluted back yard.
Thats the Orion Nebula, taken with my D rebel, on my 8" newtonian scope.
I paid regular retail, and the only extra I had to buy was an extra wireless controller, which I would have bought anyway.
You just gotta watch the online places. I didnt pre-order, and I bought it a few days before christmas
  It works FINE on XP. That has nothing to do with his issue.
Any Cd burning software?
Any Drive emulation software?
Condition of the disk?

Watch that link. I got mine the week before christmas.
You do not have to buy the full package either, once you get it in...
The 28-135 is really nice, but I sold my kit lens to get a 28-105, and I miss the 17... 28 is a bit long on these things, but it seems to work fine in 90% of situations.
You HAVE TO have that 58 1.8. Just trust us on that one. You wont believe that lense.
My dream lense kit for a...
Actually YOU are wrong. It runs fine in my box with 2 gigs of ram even with this patch.
And its run better on 2 gigs since dayone, so dont give me any "its just this patch" crap.
He needs 2 gigs of ram to run at those settings.
I know for a FACT they dont all use shared
1. I worked for Dell supporting the things, I have SEEN the actual memory chips soldered onto the board
2. I have a Sager with a 9600 Pro in it with 128 megs ONBOARD< NOT SHARED
DOes anyone else, who HATED the other project gotham racing games, LIKE PGR3??
I HATED PGR1 and 2 for the horribly arcadey physics.
I LOVE PGR3 because it lost JUST enough of the arcade like physics to be enjoyable.
Dont get me wrong, its still FAR from a sim, but its fun for once :)
Ok I am in need of some money to help fund a Telescope :)
Sony PSP V2.0
Gigapack, comes with everything in the retail package, this thing is mint.
1 stuck pixel in the upper left. I never see it during any game play, but you can see it on all black loading screens. I dont see any other...
Forza runs like GARBAGE on my 360.. HORRIBLE frame rates in the "in car" view (the one that shows the road and the speedo only) and IMHO the graphics look WORSE than the original xbox.
WHich makes me mad because I had a guy lined up to give me $140 for my halo edition xbox...

Runs 1280x1024, full AA and AF, everything maxed including smoke. Looks better than the 360 version.
