Loving the mirror finish -- well, sort of a mirror finish. As long as it's flat, then it's going to be good.
Curious what the before/after temps were?
Also, would you be re-benching the 1700 with HPET disabled, Windows' power profile set to high performance, updating the BIOS to the latest...
Perfect timing. I got a voicemail of someone requesting a call back. I called back and after just one ring, I spoke with a very professional-sounding female offering a survey in trade of winning a chance to go to the Bahamas. I'm thinking, "Oh jeez, another telespammer." I curiously asked what...
the_servicer I don't mind trades -- while I'm not looking to accumulate stuff (the point behind selling this), if you've got something useful, I'll consider it!
Oniigumo I'll consider this if I have no other option. Good idea!
Had been using my laptop far more than I ever touched my PC. I'm debating on selling this PC because I know it's still a rock solid PC and yet if I sold it, I won't be making much. I just have too little space to actually use it. 8 years old so far and very solid. Just trying to vet interest...
Around $100, give or take, if I can be persuaded to take the latest feature. Not too sure about WMP -- do you feel like the apps are plentiful on WMP? That's really my only concern.
Edit: No real budget set in mind, if a damn good phone can be had for $200, sure.
Looking for good offers on an unlocked GSM smartphone that you might wanna pass on. Battery life should still hold at least. Don't care for good physical condition -- it just needs to be 100% stable and works.
Thanks!
It would be interesting if craigslist, like eBay, provide ratings based on account names. We could then trust the seller easily. But then there's the missing anonymity.
Wish people would realize that. They're extremely reliable and sips gas like nothing else -- it's your go to commuter car.
And I got all of these cars running in good condition. :p
I'm seeing a brand new Samsung 850 PRO 256GB for $110. Hmm, not sure if that's good. The closest Amazon has...
:D I've got three Geo Metros. I've gotten them all for incredible prices ranging from $1,200 in 2006, $750 in 2010 and $700 in 2013. All came with free spare parts and even upgrades.
That $1,800 price is </3.
Some people simply ask high, you just need to talk them down to what's reasonable.
How's that possible? I would've bought that phone for even $75. Was it unlocked or tied to a carrier? Possible it was stolen? Did you ever ask the seller why he was willing to let it go for so cheap?
Using exclusively wireless connection so I am not sure if I should bother with the registry editing. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise.
Reinstalled drivers including Lenovo trackpoint drivers and keyboard drivers.
Used it all day yesterday with no problems. I hit one point where the keyboard...
Considering the motherboard and CPU and heatsink can be worth about $90 (going by eBay selling price points), I think you've got your money's worth! You can put together a pretty powerful system for just a few hundred bucks! I should look into something like that to build a server. :)
Just bought a Lenovo X240 off of someone for a really, really good deal. Tested it at the time of purchase and it was fine.
Then bam, I noticed that when I type, the keyboard would eventually stop working or pause. Pressing the keys repeatedly does nothing, then eventually it'll come back and...
I've caught great stuff on Craigslist. For example, I got a rare 1989 Cannondale Criterium 3.0 bike in top condition for $175. These would normally go $300 or so.
And I just got a very awesome laptop as you'll see above.
You can find great stuff if you look for it.
Well, I met with the seller to see his Lenovo ThinkPad X240. What a beaut it was.
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5-4300U CPU @ 1.9 GHz
8 GB DDR3 11-11-11-28
1366 x 768 max res with 12.5" screen (actually quite enough for its size)
HGST 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA
He wanted $350 but I...
Very fascinating assembly process.
I... cannot imagine there's any way to even fix it DIY in your garage.
Give or take, for most of the work, you'd need to take it to a Toyota dealership.
Bingo, that's where the difference is. He is probably talking about clients utilizing a much smaller amount (i.e., 10 VMs). He did hint that it was a very specific configuration.
I mean, I hope it wasn't stolen but it does seem fishy. You just got yourself the best deal of the year. In all of my transactions on craigslist, usually people come to my place or I come to theirs. I don't think I can get a deal like that around here!
I was comparing Vitamix and Blendtec. Here's what you can get out of Blendtec:
Total Blender Certified Refurbished with Wild Jar - $279.95
or
Total Blender Certified Refurbished with Four Side - $259.95
